- Gabe would be released the next morning.

- Leaving at night, stealing food, stole his father’s bicycle, took Gabriel.

4. What did Jonas and Gabe do the first day after breakfast?

- They hid and slept.

5. What time of the day did Jonas and Gabe travel?

- At night

6. What was Jonas the most scared of while on the run?

- The search planes.

7. Why couldn’t the search planes see them?

- They do not see color, so Jonas and Gabe blended in with their surroundings, also the

heat detectors couldn’t detect them.

8. How did Jonas throw the heat detectors off?

- Jonas made himself and Gabe cold.

9. How did Jonas know that the community was starting to give up the search?

- The search planes were less frequent.
