Learning Competency: Develop paragraphs that illustrate each text type (narrative in
literature, expository, explanatory, factual and personal recount, persuasive) EN8WC-IIa-2.8

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
A. Develop a paragraph that illustrates the personal recount text type
B. Write a paragraph that shows personal recount text type
C. Give importance to the personal text type to one’s life experiences

Wow! That’s good! Everybody will be a part


of another exciting day of learning. Is Yes Ma’am
everybody ready to think, have fun and
learn?

Okay, 1-2-3 pretty eyes and sharp ears on


me. Before we start, let us have first our
classroom rules. Everybody read.
CLASSROOM RULES:

1. Seat properly.
2. Observe silence when the teacher is
talking
3. Raise your hand if you want to answer
4. Turn off your phone or switch it into silent
mode to avoid disturbance to the class.

Last meeting, we discussed the different


types of paragraphs. Kindly give me some Narrative

B. Developmental Activities

1. Motivation

I have here an object and jumbled letters,


the jumbled letters will answer to the object
that I have in my hand.

Class, are you familiar with this object? Yes ma’am

What does a diary contain? All about our life especially our personal life

2. Presentation
This afternoon we are going to discuss one
of the text types and that is about personal PERSONAL RECOUNT
recount text type.

Activity

At this point, I will group you into five (5)


groups. I will distribute the materials to each
group. Your group should choose a leader GROUP 1
and a secretary. Inside the envelope is the
instructions on what you are going to do. I
will group you according to your rows.

3. Where did the child and Grandpa go
