Junk Foods: To Eat or Not to Eat

Junk food is unhealthy. It is greasy and fatty; and if eaten regularly, definitely won’t help anyone to be healthy. It can even make
you sick! Your teachers and parents remind you these all the time. However, as unhealthy as it may seem, it is still one of those
foods that pupils like you love to eat. If you really want to have a healthy lifestyle, then you should stop eating junk foods at once!
You should choose to keep your
body healthy. Stop eating junk food because there are no vitamins in it. It can never help you maintain a good and healthy body.
Instead of eating junk foods, there are lots of food choices you can pick. You should eat fruits, vegetables, fish, and eggs for
example. These are nutritious foods that can help your body become healthier.
Ask yourself this, “Will I let junk food tempt me, or not?” Well, it's up to you. Choosing nutritious foods over junk foods is the
best choice. Someday, you will thank yourself for the good choices you have made.

INTRODUCTION: Sa nakaraang modyul na iyong natapos, alin sa mga
sumusunod ang mabuting dulot ng pagsangguni muna ng
katotohanan sa taong kinauukulan bago gumawa ng anumang
hakbangin? Lagyan ng tsek (/) ang mga ito.

1. Nalalaman ang katotohanan.


2. Nagugulo ang isipan sa pagtukoy ng katotohanan.
3. Napatitibay ang isang katotohanan.
4. Nauunawaan ang tamang impormasyon.

Pagganyak.
Natutuhan mo sa nakaraang aralin ang tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng
katatagan ng loob sa pagsasabi ng katotohanan. Nasabi at nagawa mo rin
ito nang walang pag-aalinlangan o takot anoman ang maging bunga nito.
Dadako naman tayo sa pag-aaral kung paano susuriin ang isang
pahayag, bagay o pangyayari bago gumawa ng anomang hakbang o kilos.
Ipababatid sa iyo sa araling ito ang mga panggagalingan ng impormasyon
na maaari mong gamitin. Kabilang dito ang mga balitang napakinggan,
patalastas na nabasa/narinig, napanood na programang pantelebisyon at
pagsangguni sa taong kinauukulan.

Paano mo nga ba inaalam ang totoo? Ano anong paraan ang


ginagawa mo upang matuklasan ang katotohanan? Sino sino ang iyong
tinatanong upang makakalap ng tamang impormasyon at mabatid mo ang

Nanay:
kaya ganyan ang sinasabi nila kasi gusto nilang
marami ang bumili ng kanilang produkto.
Kaya po pala gumagawa sila ng patalastas. Pero

siyempre ikaw pa rin nanay ang magaling maglaba lalo
na kapag katulong mo ako kaya kahit anong sabon pa gamitin natin tiyak na malinis ang ating labada.

Agad naman siyang pumayag. Ngunit ng bibilhin na niya ang produkto, hindi ito pumasa sa kanyang pagsusuri.

A wood cabinet is hard. I can`t bend , nor stretch it.
But then I found in my room,
My broken crayons , pencils and metal key, lied in the window.
My younger brother played with them, so I placed them in a row.
My mother saw these, and she gave me coins to buy a metal case that is
new. So I got on my bicycle and bought a hammer. But along the way, I
found a tin can, so I did bring it home, too.
I pressed and hammered a tin can to make a pencil case.
So this time I know,

What are the different solid materials mentioned in the poem?
What are the different ways by which these materials are changed?

• Solid materials can be bent. When bent, these materials may change their size and shape. No new material is formed. Only the
physical appearance of the materials is changed.
• The changes that this materials underwent is called physical change.
• Bending a steel bar/iron in industry is an example of bending of solid materials
Solid materials have definite shape and volume. They have different characteristics/properties such as: size, shape, color, texture,
and weight.

Solid materials can be pressed. When pressed, these materials may change their size and shape. Other solid materials may also
change their texture when pressed. However, no new material is formed because only the physical appearance of the material is
changed.

Isang Sabado ng umaga maagang gumising si Von. Kinuha niiya ang kaniyang backpack pati na rin ang kaniyang pangawil at ang
latang inihanda niya noong nakaraang gabi. Pumunta siya sa hardin sa likod ng bahay at tuwang-tuwa ng makakita ng mga
matatabang bulati. Ngayon handa na siya. Pasipol-sipol siya habang naglalakad papunta sa ilog na hindi naman kalayuan sa
kanila. Pagdating sa tabing ilog, humanap siya ng malilim na lugar at inihanda ang kanyang pangawil at naglagay ng isang bulati
rito.
Naupo sa tabing ilog at inihagis ang kanyang pangawil at tahimik na naghintay. Nang hindi nagtagal, gumalaw ang kanyang
pangawil at dali-daling tumayo sa kanyang kinauupuan upang hilahin ito. Laking gulat niya sa kanyang nakita ng umagang iyon.
Agad niya itong kinuha at inihanda ang kaniyang kagamitan. Tuwang-tuwa siya sa malaking isda na nahuli niya. Dali dali siyang
umuwi para ibigay sa kanyang ina ang kanyang malaking huli nang araw na iyon at iyon ang kanilang naging masarap na
pananghalian.

Tingnan ang mapa ng mundo. Hanapin ang ating bansa. Saang


bahagi ng mundo naroroon ang Pilipinas?
Ang daigdig ay may pitong kontinente mula sa pinakamalaki
hanggang sa pinakamaliit: Asya, Africa, Hilagang Amerika, Timog Amerika,
Antartika, Europa, at Australia. Ang Pilipinas ay matatagpuan sa
Hilagang Hemispera sa kontinente ng Asya. Ito ay nasa gitna ng ekwador at
ng Tropiko ng Kanser. Ang ating bansa a y b a h a g i n g r e h i y o n n g
Timog-Silangang Asya. Inilalarawan sa iba’t ibang paraan ang kinaroroonan o
lokasyon ng isang bansa: maaaring ito ay relatibo (relative) o tiyak (absolute)
na lokasyon. Lokasyong pang-heograpiya ang tawag sa mga ito. Ang tiyak na lokasyon ng ating bansa ay 4˚-21˚ hilagang
latitud at 116˚-127˚ silangang longhitud.
