Jire Emmanuelle Barrameda

9:45am- Recess time

Angel came to me saying that Emilia was crying , So I went to Emilia’s place and
asked her why she was crying. She told me that Jire was blaming her for not helping in
their group work activity in Science. Jire shouted so hard pointing Emilia and almost
crying too saying “ hindi ka naman talaga tumutulong e, nakaupo kalang” but Emilia
insisted that it is not true that she is not helping the group. She even took her materials
and showed it to me. So I asked Jire again why he’s blaming Emilia. Base from his
story, I came to realize that Emilia did not like the idea that Jire is monopolizing the
group, She gave suggestions but Jire did not want to recognized her suggestions.

Consequence

When the teacher discovered what happened, she talked to the other members of the
group to validate what really happened. They said that it was all Jire’s fault, because he
did not want to accept suggestion. Then she talked to the whole class saying that in a
group work, you must have team work if you want your activity to become successful.
She even give example of the game basketball like if there is only one playing the game
and do everything for sure they will not win. Then they realized their mistake and the
promise to work together again for the betterment of the group. And Jire promise to
listen to his groupmates.

The parents of Jire and Emilia was informed about the incident.
Jire Barrameda:

Am so glad this year that Jire Barrameda became more mature, especially when it
comes to thinking and dealing with his relationships with his classmates. After the
incident with Emilia, he seldom gets tantrum and angry with his classmates. He told me
that in order to avoid quarrelsome with his classmates I will allow him to draw during
recess and lunch time. So I let him do it everyday and I think it was effective.

2:15, Values Education Time

The class were talking about orderliness and being tidy inside and outside the school
and at home. So the teacher asked the pupils what they usually do when they arrived
home from school. Some pupils said that they rest for a while, have their simple snacks

and then do their homework if there is any.

The teacher asked Yohan, what he usually do with his school uniform , and immediately

he said, “ teacher usually I throw it in the humper”. Then the teacher asked the pupils if
it is right to just throw it in the humper? Ameerah said “NO, you should fold it , before
you put in the humper. But Yohan said no need to fold because it is already used
clothes. Students were already laughing and telling him to just simply fold it. He was
already crying and insisting that he will never fold the used clothes before putting it in
the humper. So the teacher told Yohan that she respect his idea but she also told the
whole class, that it is proper to check and simply fold the clothes before putting them in
the humper, and he said he will try to do it too. Lately the teacher asked Yohan if he still
doing the simple folding of his uniform before putting in the humper and he said yes
teacher I am still doing it and it is no longer a sore eye to me.

Teaching the pupils simple responsibilities at home and in school mean to them a lot.
This way pupils became more aware of the proper way of making their things tidy and
organized.
