Classroom Climate
Classroom culture and context
Observe the classroom climate and answer the questions
below.
1. Is the classroom climate purposeful and task orientated? Give
an example.
Yes I think it is because the kids sit in 5 rows away from each other
so they dot talk to each other, while learning the lesson
2. Is the classroom climate relaxed, warm and supportive? Give
an example.
Sometimes it is because the teacher moves around the class and
ask them if they need help and she smiles to them all the time so
they do feel like they are being supported
3. Does the classroom climate have a sense of order? Give an
example.
Yes they do because if the teacher told them to sit down or stand up
they would do it immediately without any hesitation and none of
them eat or drink in the classroom
4. How did the teacher build on intrinsic motivation?
She praised them when they do a good thing and tell them
that they will become good people with lots of money when
they grow up
5. How did the teacher build on extrinsic motivation?
She have a big sticker box that she take one and put a sticker
on each students book or she tell them that she is giving them
high marks if they did a something she askes form them
6. What sort of relationship did the teacher have with the
students? For example, was there mutual respect and rapport,
did the teacher act as a good example, did s/he use humor?
The teacher respected the kids and she did not even made
any sort of joke with them she didnt play with them she just
came to let them learn not to talk
7. Describe the classroom appearance in terms of the layout.
What did you like not like about it and why? What would you
change or not change and why?
I think that students should sit next to each other so they can
help each other to study better and there should be a
bookshelf in every class
Motivation

Observe and record strategies used by the teacher to

motivate the students positively to learn.
Strategies used by
teacher
1-she ignores him
2-if he talk she makes
him stand far away from
the students for five
mins or more or makes
them stand outside the
classroom

What children did

How useful it was

1-two kids named

Rashid and Zayed talk
with each other during
class hours
2-Run around in the
class because they were
board
3-didnt do there
homework

It was really good

because
The students behaved
better and stopped
behaving in a bad way
and they never forgot
there home work again

1. Did the teacher use praise? Which students did she praise
and why?
She praised all the students that did there homework on time and
she praised one student the most and his name is khalid because he
behaved really good and did every thing that she told him to do and
he is one of the teachers little helpers
2. Which of these strategies would you use/not use? Why?
I think I will ignore the kids because that is the best working
strategie that never make moms angry at me , if I hit one of the
students or do a rude thing I would be a bad role modle for them

3. Was there anything that could have been done differently?

Yes I think that the teacher shouldnt make children stand
outside the classroom because the wither is so hot and its a
