Behavior management
Observe and record strategies used by the teacher to manage
students behavior.
Strategies used by
teacher
Scan the Classroom.

Make eye contact

Move students

What children did

How useful it was

The children had some

difficulty while he was
writing the letter A, and
the teacher noticed that
he didnt knew the how
to write the letter so she
came and helped him.

The children may not be

concentrate in the
classroom, so the
teacher do an eye
contact with them to
pay their attention and
understand the lesson.

It was useful, because

thats can build a good
relationship between
the teacher and the
student, and thats will
let the student to trust
of the teacher and ask
her if he has a problem
with anything.
I think its a good
strategy, because in
that way the child will
be able to concentrate
and listen to the teacher
instead of talking to his
friends.

The children talk to

each other in the circle
time and play instead of
listening to the teacher,
so the teacher split
them to be quite and
listen to her.

I think is a good thing,

because thats will let
the child to avoid
misbehave In the class
and being polite while
the teacher is explaining
the lesson.

1. Did the teacher maintain good order in the class? How did she do this?
Yes she did, she had ordered her lesson very well, For example: she put
like 15 minutes to explain the task and after that she give the students the
tablets to do their task.
2. Is the teacher clear and consistent in establishing rules and
expectations regarding behavior?
Yes, because the teacher reminds the students of the classroom rules
everyday before they start the lesson and if they did something wrong she
will let them the rule of it to avoid repeating the fault again.
3. Which of these strategies would you use/not use? Why?
I will use the eye contact strategy, because thats will let the children
to pay attention to me while I am explaining the lesson.
4. Was there anything that could have been done differently?
I guess it will be the move student strategy, because the teacher
could warn the students for the first time and tell them to be quite, and if
they didnt she can switch their places.
5. What surprised you?
I got surprised when the teacher was absent for two days and when
she came back, the children started hugging her and asking about her, I
noticed that their relationship is very good and strong.
6. What shocked you?
I got shocked when I saw the teacher started yelling at the children
because they misbehave in the classroom, and in my opinion I think if she
can advise them alone it will be better than yelling at them in front of their
classmates.
7. What delighted you?
I got delighted when my MST came to the kindergarten again after
being absent in the couple past two weeks, so me and the children greeted
her.
