TASK 8: Providing Effective Teaching for Effective Learning
Effective learning is defined as methods of learning that involve children actively participating in
their own learning and personal development. While effective teaching is a term used to describe
the knowledge, strategies, and conduct of a successful educator. It's the ability to make a positive
impact on a student's life and academic career, including the capacity to teach important skill
sets, introduce new concepts and manage any classroom concerns.
One of the successes of a teacher in teaching is that students are very enthusiastic in learning and
students understand the material being taught. However, to make students understand a lesson,
teaching and learning methods and strategies are needed. Teachers have to apply strategies to
provide effective learning through effective teaching such as follows:
1. Visualisation
Bringing boring academic concepts to life with visual and practical learning experiences
that can help students understand how to apply the material they learn in the classroom in
the real world.
Examples are using LCD projectors to display photos, videos, and activities that
encourage students to experiment and be active in class.
2. Cooperative Learning
Encourage students to work together by forming groups. By expressing students' ideas
verbally and responding to others, it will encourage students to develop their self-
confidence and improve communication and critical thinking skills.
Examples are conducting scientific experiments and acting out short plays in the
classroom.
3. Question-Basedsed Instruction
Teachers can ask questions that can encourage students to think on their own and become
more independent learners. Encouraging students to ask questions and dig deeper into
their ideas, it will help improve students' skills in solving their problems and gain a
deeper understanding. By giving question-based instruction, students can focus their
attention on the lesson or material being discussed. This question can be used to
determine what students have learned and to motivate and grow students' interest in
learning.
4. Using Technology in Classroom
By utilizing technology in the teaching process in the classroom is one of the effective
ways that can be taken to involve students actively, especially because digital media is
very familiar to students in the 21st century. An interactive whiteboard or smartphone can
be used to display images and videos that can help students visualize the material being
studied. Learning can become more interactive when technology is used because students
can be directly involved in the delivery of learning materials
