1. Pursuant to the Division Memorandum no. 06, s. 2023 re: Schedule on the conduct
of Sports Activities for SY 2022-2023, the District Office through the Sports
Development Program of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) of the School
Division of Eastern Samar, hereby announces the conduct of the DISTRICT MEET
2023 which is to be held on January 21-22, 2023, at Llorente Central Elementary
School.
2. The District Sports Coordinator, All School Heads, School Sports Coordinators,
identified Tournament Managers, Officiating Officials, and Coaches and Chaperones
are advised to work together and report to the respective playing venues before the
start of the games. Be reminded further to have extra care of all pupils/athletes for
their safety throughout the duration of the sporting event.
3. Athletes who are qualified to play are those born on July 1, 2005, onwards for the
Secondary while for the Elementary is July 1, 2010, onwards.
Pupils/students/athletes born beyond the cut-off dates shall not be allowed to
participate. All participants must be vaccinated.
4. Teachers who will render services on the above-mentioned dates (Saturday and
Sunday) can avail of Service Credits and/or Compensatory Time Credits (which ever
may apply) equivalent to eight (8) hours of service per day as per DepEd order No. 53,
s. 2023 and CSC and DBM Joint Circular No. 1 s. 2004 and /or Service Credits for
Compensatory Time Credits School Teachers and School Head, respectively.
5. Expenses incurred relative to the participation of the said activity shall charged to
local funds and/ or school MOOE subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulation.

Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum are desired.
