1. Rockwool Malaysia Sdn.Bhd is placed at Lot 4, Solok Waja 1, Bukit Raja Industrial
Estate, 41050 Klang, Selangor. The Rockwool company operates 45 manufacturing facilities
in continents like Europe, North America and Asia, whereby the headquarters is in Denmark.
In Malaysia they have 2 branches which is in Melaka Ayer Keroh and Bukit Raja. Both these
plants work together to make Rockwool Malaysia successful.

B) Rockwool Foundation was established In the year 1981 by Claus Kahler and his 5 siblings
with donations shared for everyone’s holdings. It is a independent and financially self
supporting organisation. In malaysia Rockwool was established in the year 1999 for
manufacturing. As per then till today Rockwool have been running successfully.

2.Rockwool manufacturers insulation products made from Rock by heating it up. They
provide Different types of Insulation such as for Wall ,Roof, Ceiling, and Technical
Insulation .Wall Insulation are provided for interior and exterior walls which gives protection
from sound, Thermal and Fire. Roof Insulation are to protect the building against hot weather
and a better energy efficiency will be acquired by using less air conditioning. Ceiling
Insulation are to maintain peace and comfort due the capability of sound observed. Technical
Insulation provided same such as Protection to fire, thermal and water but it will be for
technical products like pipes.

b) Rockwool’s main customers comes from Construction companies and Infastructures such
as Petronas Twin tower and MSU college. These are example of customers that prefer a safe
environment . There are companies that also buy’s technical Insulation for the pipes to
maintaining the temperature of the pipes or prevent from leakeage to protect environment .
there are also customers like Agents that take small quantities to sell for small companies
which is used for studios and rooms in house construction.

3) The first Responsibility i am given is to Handle The planning For the day next of local
delivery. One day before The logistics department will get Customers service advise or
customer orders from customer service to prepare shipments and Outbond delivery in a
system called SAP. As creating it we will have to check quantities and storage location of the
material that will go out as there are Melaka Branch products brought here due to customer
requirements. After creating Outbond delivery we will print out and check is it is ammending
with the given Customer service advice or orders. The next step will be count all the tonnage
weight of products that will be going out tomorrow and preapre a summary to be updated in
data and daily call information . Whereby for Technical insulation products a Kitting order
will be released to Do kitting for pipes that will go out the next day due the differentiation in
sizes and quantities. If there is enough space in Warehouse the product will be taken out of
from the racks and placed in kitting area so as the truck arrives they can straight load.
A second responsibility i was given is that to when the truck driver arrives guard house,
receive the call from security to enquire the information of driver and what are the products
he is here to collect. Upon receiving the information we will check with Outbond Deliveries
we have created to ensure the driver is collecting the right product and let the truck inside to
load the products. After the loading process we will prepare documents in office in order to
Post goods issue and hand over the gate pass to driver to leave the factory. All the
documentation must be signed by the driver with Identification card number in order to get
the gate pass and agree to the terms and conditions . For Stock Transport Unit once the Truck
arrives after the Unloading, drivers will be given a delivery order with chop and sign of the
person received the goods and will be able to leave whereby if there are chnages in stock
brought or differ from according to the order driver will have to sign with identification card
number . Stock Transfer Order happens whenever there is a need for Melaka branch products
specifically for the customers in klang. Since the products are kept in the warehouse must
update in SAP system in a section called MIGO.
Third responsibility i was given is to find a way to fasten the loading time for trucks as it took
longer time then expected due to too many products in warehouse and can’t find the products
quickly. As per this i prepared a Kitting Check list or Location check list in order to find the
products that will go out tomorrow. Once we get the orders one day before we will write the
quantities and materials with Purchase order number for reference and enter the warehouse.
Once we have enough information we will identify the product location and write it down,
For example Rack A7 in the following material colum. Upon identifying all the products
location if there is space for small quantities order those will be done kitting in the given
location. The kitting check list with the product location and remarks will be made copies and
kept in a location where all the fork lift drivers can collect and use for the next day delivery. I
believe this will fasten the delivery and loading time and improve things. As of November
this will be fully utilised

4). The first experience i gain is to work in fast paced working environment, for example all
the trucks arrived have to enter quick and also leave quickly as soon as possiblee from
waiting time to loading time period. As per this making them wait will cause many issues as
they will have different trips further distant customers. As per this we will have to be very
fast in order to let the trucks in and leave early. This puts on a challenge where we have to
work carefuly and fast at the same time in order to avoid mistakes in doucumentatio part.
Second experience i gained was to wok in a enviroment where the products are produced and
kept in the same place, where the factory, warehouse and office are in the same place. As this
was a new experience for me because we have to make sure all the departments are doing
their job in order to make the plant run smoothly without any issues. For example when the
production side doesnt produce products needed for the next delivery will create many issues
between customers. AS per this the Kitting will help to identify if there is physical stock
ready to be taken the next following day. From thiskind oof environment i get to work
different departments which was a new experience for me to gain.therfor this also gave me
the experience to solve problem skills as when issues occur there should be quick solution in
order to make the local delivery moving.
The Third exprerience i gained was to learn how a company handles inbound and outbond
systematically, I learnt how a company uses system to take count of the stock they take in
through backflushing system in SAP and prepare Outbound through variouis systems as well.
More then that Once the truck arrives how they prepare for them to come in and take
products safely and quickly.
