Activity 14.1 Teacher Personal Qualities: A view from My Lenses

OBSERVE

3.Follow the code given whether you will observe by seeing only or you will observe and
interview the teacher to gather information.
4. Write down in the column of data results the description of the Personal qualities that you

1. In Activity 1, what you consider as the 3 most outstanding significant personal qualities of
the teacher you choose as your case? Why do you consider these as outstanding?
A.Knowledgeable-As a teacher we should have knowledge to be one of the sources through
which student get the learnings. So, they should have ability to express the knowledge. And
for this teacher she have this one quality and it’s good for the students to be handle by this
teacher.

B. Dignified- Teachers must respect every person, regardless of gender, sexual orientation,
and appearance. A teacher should always maintain a dignified personality which could serve
as model worthy of emulation by learners. A dignified teacher is honorable and worthy,

C. Determined-A determined teacher is someone who faced challenges and obstacle

whatever problems she/he encounter in life. Focusing goals and good decision makers to
achieve success in life.

2. Which of these qualities do you have? Do you think you can fit as good teacher someday?
Why? Describe yourself.
I can say that I have one quality out of these qualities of a good teacher. Even before when I am
in elementary I have this Determination to succeed in life, many wishes and dreams to have in
the future. I joined activities like scouting to proved myself and others that I can do something
at my young age. Facing challenges and problems are not easy, in my case when dancing
become my hobby and like even my parents before are not supporting it, I always go and do
practice to pursue my passion which is to dance and to share my talents. So after Senior high
and entered College I choose Bachelor of Physical education aligned to my passion and I can say
that its because of my determination before that I acquire even now. So I believed I can do the
same thing when I have a chance to be a good teacher and to share this quality to my future
students.

One personal characteristic of my model teacher that has made an impact in my life is being
determined. Despite of the challenges of our education system during pandemic she always
cheering up and gave us motivation to continued our studies. Being determined to teach us to
be one of them is very meaningful for us, it’s like she believed on us that we can make it until
we become successful in life.
