GUIDELINES/MECHANICS FOR THE DIGITAL MATH-POSTER MAKING

Viewing the world through a combined math-and-art lens provides students with unprecedented
insights. Take computers, for example, explains that color images produced by computer simulation (which
involves math) not only help to understand phenomena, but also can be considered art because of their beauty
and power to inspire and leads to technological appreciation. In addition, visual representations may lead to
positive gains in math achievement as they develop their creative strategic thinking and self-expression.
A. MECHANICS:
1. The Contest is participated by the First-Place winner in each Senior High School.
2. Each artist will make a poster based on the concept/ idea given on the day of the contest.
3. The duration of the digital poster making is 3 hours using IBIS Paint application only.
4. Each artist will bring their own cellphone of tablet/ipad
5. Each contestant must not bear the identity of the school or district.
4. Judges will be given around one minute to complete their evaluations and give their completed forms to the
tabulator or designated score collectors. Judges do not tally scores themselves.

related to the topic and make it easier to understand
 Detailed illustration of the theme supported with detailed 10%
examples and no factual errors.
 Mathematical message, ideas and content are correct and 15%
precise, compelling, engaging and represent clear
understanding of the information presented
 VISSUAL COMPOSITION 15%
 Applied the elements of arts and art principles to organize 5%
the space effectively
 The poster exceptionally attractive in terms of design, 5%
layout, and neatness.
 The overall organization and use of color and space make 5%
the poster interesting
