Factors that Affect Lack of Interest in Education

ABSTRACT

This study analyzed the education is a tool for empowerment and

children and adolescents are the future of our country. Although the
literacy rate around the world and here in the Philippines has steadily
increased, a significant number of adolescents in our country are
deprived of proper education. Studying helps every individual enhance
their knowledge through observing and reading. Studying requires
understanding and focus. Parents send their kids to school when they
came to the right age. Every individual needs to implement school for
better learning. Some students love to go school because they want to
achieve they dreams, while some don`t.

Lack of interest in education can be caused difficulty

concentrating, emotional difficulties, learning disabilities, and many other
factor. Sometimes it`s just plain boredom - not everything is about fun all
the time.
CHAPTER 1
Introduction

Education is a process of facilitating learning or the acquisition of

knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits. -- Wikipedia.com
We all know that being educated is important that`s why all people
need to study. It plays such a rudimentary role on our society we should
invest more on it because it is the reason in innovating technology and
most important it can enhance and improve ourselves and also empower
this country so we cannot even imagine life without it. Nowadays, many
teens are not interested to attend their classes, they prefer to focus their
attentions to the things that they enjoy and make them happy without
thinking the importance of having it. They are wasting the sacrifices of
their parent and the opportunity of having better future. As a matter of
fact everything we create today is based on the knowledge that we
obtain throughout our life by way. Of education, so what do you think the
factors that can be distract the attention of youth in education?

The lack of interest of students in study refers to students in study

refers to inadequate curiosity to learn new methods, concepts and
techniques which add to their knowledge . The interest is the chief
builder of the builder of the skills and capabilities of the students. Most
students are having difficulties in school especially when they study alone.
Sometimes when a student doesn’t have anyone to ask for help in terms
of studying, they start to get tired and lose interest in studying.

Most students enjoy their weekends with their friends and love ones,
but some students spend their weekends with their hobbies and having
fun. Some students enjoy their hobbies so much that turn their hobbies
so much that turn their hobbies into vices. Playing computer games is a
common vice for students nowadays. Students are influenced by their
classmates or friends to play computer games and skip classes, and the
more they enjoy what they’re doing, the more they lose interest in going
to school.

Interest is a powerful motivational process that energizes learning,

guides academic and career trajectories, and is essential to academic
success. Interest is both psychological state of attention and affect
toward a particular object or topic, and an enduring predisposition to
reengage over time. Promoting interest can contribute to a more
engaged, motivated, learning experience for students.

Several factors prevent students from completing their degrees. These

reasons result in waste students study time and also leave detrimental
impact on their education. Students frequently resolve to study
effectively, create a suitable plan, and arrange their desk and study
materials, yet somehow they learn. Students should not be held
personally responsible for this since they wish to study , but some
circumstances prevent them from doing this.

Substance misuse, mental or physical illness, and other personal issues

can affect a student's drive to put forth effort in a course. For instance,
bipolar disorder may boost the commencement of goal-directed activities
but impede with their completion, whereas depression may result in a
drop in energy levels. Missing classes, being late, falling asleep in class,
forgetting to turn in assignments, being unresponsive to emails, and
changing one's look or manner can all be behavioral markers of these
issues. These issues not only influence the struggling student, but also the
other students whose motivation may be impacted by the actions of their
classmate. For instance, think about the impact of a kid who consistently
falls asleep in class. This is especially valid when the student in question is
a part of small classrooms or group initiatives.

Students don't think their efforts will help them achieve

better.Students won't be motivated to work hard if they don't think their
efforts would likely lead to an improvement in their performance. For
instance, if a course has a reputation for being exceedingly tough,
motivation may be impacted. Students may also believe they are
incapable of completing the task because of disappointing experiences in
previous courses or on early assignments in a course. Students'
motivation may also be impacted by their perceptions about intelligence
and learning. If people think that learning is often quick and simple (and
shouldn't be tedious or difficult), they could become demotivated when
they run into difficulties.
