PHILOSOPHY ON EDUCATION

REFLECTION

There are lot of Philosophy of education we have to learn with, but Aristotle the Greek

Philosopher ones said that Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all,

from this quotation. Educating the heart refers to the importance of not only focusing on

developing the cognitive aspects (our mind) but also all the qualities that make us human (our

hearts) and ultimately give us the real meaning in our lives and the profession we chose.

We as a teacher should be knowledgeable about the philosophy of education, this enable us to

become a good teacher for our students. Additionally, we empathized and instill values in every

lesson, gives wisdom and knowledge that are useful for our students. We teach as the same time

learning. We may experience challenges through the teaching and learning process, but we are

adaptive in each situation, this is because of the philosophy that we have and the love that we

give to our profession.

I therefore conclude that there is no right and wrong philosophy, we as a Teacher who give

dedication and love for teaching is enough to mold young minds and make them a better person

in the future.
