Day 1- Asar Mahal

Speaking and Educating tourists about the place

Here we had a few tourists visiting from different places around India who were
quite clueless about the monument and had no idea behind t he history of the
monument. We made sure to tell them about the history of the monument with the
help of a PowerPoint Presentation we had made about it.
Day 2: Ibrahim Roza

ABSTRACT: The Ibrahim Rouza is rated as on one of the most beautifully

proportioned Islamic monuments in India and an inspiration for the Taj Mahal. The
mosque is also a beautiful edifice with five grand arches, ornamented by carved
medallions and hanging stone chains. Built on a high stone terrace, the monuments
are framed by a lofty tower, ornamented with four graceful minarets, approached by a
path through formal gardens. Built by Ibrahim Adilshah II (1580-1626) for his queen,
the Ibrahim Roza is one of the many buildings in Vijayapura that is covered in
sculpturally decorative work.

Objectives of This Activities:

 The objective of this course is to help the tourists visiting the monument to know
about the history of the place and understand the significance of this architecture in
today's world.

 The people we talked to were educated about the intricate and beautiful architecture
in the 16th century and the history of the king who built it using a PowerPoint
Presentation.

 Creating awareness among the public about importance of keeping these places clean
and helping us conserve the monument’s Beauty.

 Creating awareness among Tourists about touts and scams happening around these

places.
Helping tourists understand and know the history of the monument.

Day 3: Barah Kaman

Bara Kaman is the unfinished mausoleum of Ali Adil Shah
II in Bijapur, Karnataka in India. Ali Adil Shah of the Adil Shahi dynasty wanted to
build a mausoleum of unmatched architectural quality. It was planned that twelve arches
would be placed vertically as well as horizontally surrounding the tomb of Ali Adil
Shah. However, for unknown reasons the work on the structure was left incomplete:
only two arches were raised vertically. Rumour has it that the construction of the
mausoleum was stopped because once completed its shadow would touch the Gol-
Gombaz. Nowadays the remains of the twelve horizontally placed arches can still be
seen.
The Bara Kaman was built in 1672AD, by Ali Adil Shah II, and was supposed to be the
burial mausoleum for the king and his wives. Bara Kaman has the tombs of Ali Adil
Shah II, his wife Chand Bibi, his mistresses, and his daughters.
The architect of Bara Kaman was Malik Sandal. The structure has raised walls in
concentric arches. After the arches were erected, the inner arches were toppled, leaving
only the outermost arch. No cement was used, instead iron rings were used to hold the
stones together.
We made sure to show the tourists the facts about the monuments which tourists find
hard to get.
Day 4: Gagan Mahal

Tourist being informed why it is called the Gagan Mahal

Surrounded by fortified walls and a wide moat, the citadel once contained the Durbar
Hall, palaces, and pleasure gardens of the Adil Shahi Rulers. Unfortunately, many of the
buildings are in ruins though some beautiful fragments remain. The best is Gagan Mahal
built about 1561 A.D., the building serving the two-fold purpose of a royal residence and
Durbar Hall. The main architectural feature of this palace is its great central arch which has a
span of 60feet 9 inches. Here was enacted some of the capture of the momentous incidents of
history. It was here that Aurangzeb, after the capture of the city, commanded the unfortunate
king, Sikandar Adil Shah to appear before him in silver chains. The building, though
roofless, is a popular spot as it is set in large well landscaped public garden.
Day 5: Asar Mahal

The Asar Mahal was built by Mohammed Adil Shah in about 1646, which was used to
serve as a Hall of Justice. The building was also used to house hairs from the Prophet’s
beard. The rooms on the upper storey are decorated with frescoes and the front is graced with
a square tank. Here women are not allowed inside. Every year there is urs (festival) held at
this place. In front of the hall, one can see three tanks. The bigger tank, which is at the
Centre is about 15 feet (4.6 m) deep, however the other two are comparatively smaller in size
as well as depth. Behind Asar Mahal one can still see the remains of the citadel. Just a
kilometer away behind Asar Mahal, one can still find the old mosque which is on top of the
citadel wall. There is a big entrance with arc below this mosque. Many stones have
inscriptions. The site is under maintenance of Archeological Survey of India.
Day 6: Gol Gumbaz

Gol Gumbaz, also written Gol Gumbad, is a 17th-century mausoleum located

in Bijapur, a city in Karnataka, India. It houses the remains of Mohammad Adil
Shah, seventh sultan of the Adil Shahi dynasty, and some of his relatives. Begun in
the mid-17th century, the structure never reached completion. The mausoleum is
notable for its scale and exceptionally large dome. And also, the Dome is said to be
one of the largest domes in the World.

Day 1- Parking Tiles Factory
Vitrified tile is a ceramic tile with very low porosity. It is an alternative
to marble and granite flooring. Vitrified tiles are often used outdoors due to their water and
frost resistance.

Vitrified tile is made by hydraulic pressing a mixture of clay, quartz, feldspar, and silica,

which make vitreous surface. Thus, creating a single mass making them hard with low
porosity. Different clay bodies reach vitrification at different temperatures.

We were Taught about the making of the Parking tiles which was such and extensive
process. We also learnt how intricate and sensitive the artisans must be in order to make sure
the output is pleasing and beautiful.
The process of making the parking Tiles
Day 2- Peanut Processing and Storage Facility
The Groundnut, also known as the peanut, goober (US), Pindar (US) or monkey
nut (UK), is a legume crop grown mainly for its edible seeds. The Facility that we
visited cleans, processes, and stores the peanuts in large bags for sale to industries
like Groundnut oil and Groundnut fodder factories. This was actually one of the
largest factories I had ever been to, and it was very enlightening to see how the
Groundnuts are processed.

The equipment used in processing Groundnuts

Day 3- Water Treatment and Packaging Factory

Water treatment is any process that improves the quality of water to make it appropriate for
a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking, industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow
maintenance, water recreation or many other uses, including being safely returned to the
environment. Water treatment removes contaminants and undesirable components or reduces
their concentration so that the water becomes fit for its desired end-use.
This factory specializes in making clean and packaged drinking water. This process was too
much intricate and we weren’t allowed inside the main processing facility as it risks the
contamination of water with foreign particles and germs, but we were explained the whole
process right from the start.
Day 4- Wheat Processing Factory

The processing of wheat that we eat almost every day is no small feat. A lot of
manpower and labor is required for this process as it includes removing the husk,
cleaning of the wheat removing the bad wheat from the good wheat and then
packaging it in large bags for sale and transportation.

Wheat Processing Facility

Day 5- Cardboard making Factory.

Cardboard is a generic term for heavy paper-based products. The construction can

range from a thick paper known as paperboard to corrugated fiberboard which is made
of multiple plies of material.

This Facility is the only one of its kind in the neighboring cities as it requires a lot of
capital investment and extensive and intricate machines.

Day-6 26/10/2022 digital payments and setting them up with these payments.
Day-1 Explaining the process of digitalization and Digital Payments

As we know today digital payments have become a crucial part of our everyday life and we
use these payments for almost everything. With the digitalization comes the process of
understanding complex applications and the Process of making and receiving these digital
payments. We helped people without these kind of payments to setup the payments.

Digital payments are payments made through digital or online modes, with no exchange of hard
cash being involved. Such a payment, sometimes also called an electronic payment (e-payment), is
the transfer of value from one payment account to another where both the payer and the payee use
a digital device such as a mobile phone, computer, or a credit, debit, or prepaid card.
Day-2 Explaining the importance of Digital Payments

Digital payments, also known as electronic payments, have become increasingly

important in recent years due to the rise of technology and the widespread adoption of
smartphones and other digital devices.

The importance of digitalization in banking and payments system cannot be underestimated.

Even before the pandemic’s onset, digital banking and mobile payments had registered
significant growth, including in emerging economies globally. Inexpensive smartphones and
access to high-speed internet have ensured a thriving e-commerce industry in several
economies.
Day-3 Helping Shop owners set-up UPI and other digital Transactions.

Digital payments allow people to make transactions quickly and easily, without the
need for physical cash or checks. This is especially useful for people who are on-the-
go or who prefer not to carry large amounts of cash.
Day-4 Helping Shop owners set-up UPI and other digital Transactions.

Digital payments can provide improved record-keeping and tracking capabilities, making it
easier for businesses and individuals to keep track of their financial
transactions and expenses.

Day-5 Making sure the shopkeepers know everything about digital payments and
setting them up with these payments.

Digital payments can be more accessible to people who are unbanked or underbanked,
meaning they do not have access to traditional banking services. Digital payment
platforms can allow these individuals to send and receive money, pay bills, and make
purchases without the need for a bank account.

Day-1 Meeting with local authorities.

The first step we had to do was meet the local authorities and discuss with them the
problems regarding road safety and the main causes of concern for the government regarding
the road safety. We also discussed ways to curb accidents on roads due to negligence.

Sir also told us the things that keep bothering them and the things people should and should not
do in order to make sure that the roads are maintained and also the welfare of the people is
upheld.

Sometimes it is the people who neglect the rules and forget that there are rules and regulations
on the road that must be followed in order to make sure everyone on the road is safe and sound.

It was also specified that sometimes the construction workers do not use the safety equipment
specified by the Government because this helps them to be safe around heavy equipment and be
safe.
