7. Video INTRODUCTION The primary purpose of the video function is to present video on the display unit (DU), as shown in Figure 7-1. There are multiple video inputs to the DU. The video function gives the pilot the ability to select the input to display by way of the [YJ Te] dropdown menu. The [iY//=}={e button is displayed for selection on a dropdown menu when: * The MFD menu buttons are selected for display * The FeRENsil , (EY, ES, or ENA dropdown menus are selected for display VIDEO VIDEO UNAVAILABLE The video that is displayed has an outlined text label on the lower- center of the video. The pilot cannot zoom in or out of the fixed video image. In addition, the entire image fits on the display unit and no scrolling is necessary. Once in the VIDEO page, activation of the cursor is accomplished by moving the CCD joystick. The CCD operation for the VIDEO page provides selection on the MFD and selection of the and dropdown menu buttons. The (P)=@SETA) dropdown menu, shown in Figure 7-2, is used for selecting the desired camera position to be viewed. When a camera Position is selected for display, the video from the selected camera is displayed on the DU. The dropdown menu is shown in Figure 7-3. Buttons available for selection are highlighted in cyan when the cursor is pointing within the interactive region of the button, as shown in Figure 7-3.
