==================================================================
Part I: Pre-Exposure
1) What is your goal for this rotation?
- My goal is to enhance my skills more in DR area, familiarize and master the techniques.
2) What are your expectations for this rotation?
- My expectation for this rotation is for me to possibly carry out all the necessary things to
do with instructions from our clinical instructor.
3) What are your fears and anxieties for this rotation?
- I don’t think there is any since this is not my first exposure here in BEmONC, it’s just pure
excitement in which we look forward to having more cases.
4) How did you prepare for this rotation?
- I downloaded and read the supplemental vids and lecture sent to us by our clinical instructor
so that it would help us once we are in the area.
Part II: Actual Exposure to the Area
1) Describe your learning experiences in the clinical area.
- During our duty, there was nothing much going on. We thought there were going to be
patients that would come in or in labor but there were none. We just helped in assisting the
postpartum mother who gave birth the day before our duty. We checked here vital signs,
provided health teaching, and did our sample charting so that we could monitor the patient
and the newborn’s health status.
Part III: Post Exposure
1) Did you meet your set goal? Describe
- I don’t think I did, but somehow, we were still able to provide care and knowledge to the
postpartum mother in the ward and I was still able to enhance my skills in getting vital
signs and doing charts.
2) What are the fears, anxieties and challenges encountered? Describe
- During our rotation, I have not encountered any fear, challenges, nor anxieties.

Part IV: Reflection

1) What is the significance and implications of your clinical experience for this rotation as a
nursing student?

- The significance of this clinical experience is that we are
always able to provide the same amount of care a real
nurse would render to a patient and as nursing students, we are learning and practicing
the profession since the start of our journey in college so that we could give exemplary
care to our patients in the future.
2) Reflect on which particular incident or in general about this experience that you feel has a
big impact in your learning journey. Describe these experiences in terms of any effect to
your own personal judgment, possible change in perception/knowledge/ideas, etc and
impact to your values and beliefs.

This part may be presented/illustrated through memes/poem/poster/sayings/any form of

infographics/or any art work that illustrates your reflection in this rotation.
