DR. HERNANDO D. ROBLES

President
This University

Dear Dr. Robles:

Greetings of Peace and Solidarity!

As the highest democratic representative of the student body, the Central Student
Government reviewed the currently followed rules and regulations of the Student Handbook.
To our knowledge, the student handbook was last updated year 2006 in order to include
relevant information about the university. While most rules contained in it were taken from
the CvSU Manual of Operations 2009 which was approved by the Board of Regents (BOR)
on September 3, 2009 per Res. No. 85, s. 2009, there are now huge changes for the past 13
years. These are the changes which cannot only be seen within our university, like buildings,
new department, new faces, but also, our mode of learning, as well as the school policies,
curriculum, security, and of course, the students’ call for some considerations in their rights
and welfare.

The past CSG administration (A.Y. 2020-2021) proposed a revision in the student handbook
and upon discussing with the university heads, it has come to our attention that the proposal
was still at the Legal Department of CvSU. With this, the CSG seeks for an update from the
Legal Department regarding the matter. Here are the following questions we are seeking to
be answered:

1. Update regarding the status of the student handbook revision.

2. Is it possible for the CSG to add or recommend some changes and policies whilst the
current amended student handbook is still on-going?
3. When will be the release of the revised student handbook?

Thank you in advance for hearing with regards to this matter. Let us be one, in empowering
and expanding the understanding of students, even our university staffs and heads towards
a more progressive and better state university than yesterday.

We hope for your response. Thank you very much, and God Bless!
