LEARNING STANDARD : Main: 4.2.1 Ask for and give very basic personal information using basic questions and
statements.
Complementary: 2.3.1 Introduce self and others to an audience using fixed phrases
OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils will be able:
1. write at least 4 details about their friend correctly.
2. ask at least 4 questions correctly.

PRE LESSON
LESSON DEVELOPMENT : Pre-lesson: Pupils do a little recap on the topics that they have learnt in Year 1.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils sit in pairs and are asked to introduce themselves to their partners.
2. Question patterns can be introduced to pupils:
What is your name? How old are you? When is your birthday? Who many siblings do
you have? What is your favourite food? What is your favourite game?
3. Pupils refer to ‘My Friend’ circle page 1 in Year 2 Supplementary Worksheets
Module ‘My Friend. As they ask their friends the questions, they write down the
details in the circle too.
POST LESSON : Pupils colour and decorate their circle.

1. describe their friend based on country’s name correctly.

1. Tell at least 5 detailed information to their partner.

1. Pupils refer to textbook page 85 and pick a country.
PRE LESSON
LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Play the CD1 track 4. Pupils listen to the exchange example in the textbook.
2. Pupils practice the exchange with their partners.
3. Each pupil writes the country’s name that they have chosen in their
textbook.
4. Explain their intro game. Pupils walks around the class with their exercise
books while showing the page with the country’s name to the others. Pupils
go to a friend and say the practiced sentence pattern based on the country.

POST LESSON : Pupils share their findings with the class.
