DOT ONLY A310000 10 OZ. NITROGEN CARTRIDGE

OVERVIEW:
In order to remedy a temporary supply delay and ensure product availability, AFEX has obtained an alternate
variation of the A310000 10 oz. nitrogen cartridge. These alternate cartridges began shipping with new system orders on
April 23, 2014. Once the delay has been rectified we will discontinue the alternate cartridge and resume shipment of the
standard cartridges.

Although the cartridges differ in appearance, with the alternate being shorter and wider, the alternate design is
approved by FM and has no effect on system performance. Both cartridges are filled with the same amount of nitrogen
and use the same adapter.

Please note that the alternate cartridge is approved for DOT (Department of Transportation) transport only and should
not be transported in markets where the TC (Transport Canada) or π (Pi) mark are required.

HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU:

To avoid issues with transportation, we have taken care to ensure that the DOT only cartridges are shipped only to
customers in the United States. If you are a US based distributor with a special circumstance requiring standard cartridges,
please let us know when ordering.

Due to the increased diameter of the alternate cartridge, it can only be used with the A981750 “universal” slave actuator
assembly. To ensure compatibility with existing systems we will not ship the alternate cartridge with any parts orders.
