• by initiating an internal feedback mechanism.
In this case, negative feedback counteracts
the increase in body temperature and the
body begins to sweat more so that you can
cool down to normal body temperature.
The nervous system stimulates the ductless
glands of the endocrine system to release
the hormones so that homeostasis can be
maintained
• The endocrine system secretes hormones
into blood and other body fluids. These
chemicals are important for metabolism,
growth, water and mineral balance, and the
response to stress. Hormones provide
feedback to the brain to affect neural
processing. Reproductive hormones affect
the development of the nervous system.
• The central nervous system comprises the brain and
spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system comprises the
somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous
system.
the central nervous system receives sensory information
and the processed information is sent into effector
organs as the response whereas the peripheral nervous
system is involved in sending information to the central
nervous system and sending responses from the central
nervous system into the effector organs.
• The rest of the system will be affected and other
parts of the system will not function and will find it
impossible to perform their normal activities or
perform their duties.
Any damage to the nervous system affects the
function of the other body parts, as messages are
not properly transmitted throughout the body.
Perhaps some of the other parts of the body will
malfunction or the human body will die. Some of
them get comatose
• Together with the endocrine system,
the nervous system is responsible for
regulating and maintaining
homeostasis. Through its receptors,
the nervous system keeps us in touch
with our environment, both external
and internal.
