Narrative Report on Galaw Pilipinas, Galaw Balangueño (Category C)

As the Department of Education launched Galaw Pilipinas last February 14, 2022 which
is a National Calisthenics Exercise Program that will be part of the daily exercise routine in
schools and community learning centers, which aimed to improve the teachers, the learners and
the community’s overall health being which was affected during the pandemic that reduced
everyone’s physical activities, they encouraged everyone to do this calisthenics programs.
In order to promote and encourage, the teachers, learners and the community in pursuing
physical ang healthy lifestyle, Schools Division Office of City of Balanga, decided to show their
full support and cooperation in the said program by conducting the Galaw Pilipinas Contest with
the theme, “Galaw Pilipinas, Galaw Balangueño” with teachers and pupils from different schools
in Balanga City as participants in the contest.
In order to practice social distancing and to limit the amount of people in one venue, the Division
headed by EPS I in MAPEH, Mr. Salvador Isip decided to Categorize each participants. The contest
includes 5 Different Categories (Category A-E) with different number of participants for each category.
Balanga Elementary School became the host school for Student Participants in the Category C
which was held last June 3, 2022 at Balanga Elementary Covered Court at 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Category C Schools contain 10-20 student participants. Schools that participate in the category C were
Balanga Elementary School, Cataning Elementary School, Cupang Elementary School, T. Camacho
Elementary School, Tenejero Elementary School and Tuyo Integrated School.
With Master Teacher I, May C. Limsuyang as the Master of Ceremony, the program started with
singing of the National Anthem led by, Mrs. Melanie Pincil followed
with a prayer led by Mrs. Edithaldine Inlong. Welcome Message was given by School Principal Dr.
Rufina E. Ramos in order to give a warm welcome to everyone present in the contest. She welcomed
everyone to Balanga Elementary School and proudly say that it is an honor to be the hosting school for
the contest. She the congratulated in advance the winners of the contest.
Mr. Salvador Isip, EPS I of MAPEH followed with a message to all the participants, he was
thankful for the warm welcome of the hosting school and wished everyone goodluck in the presentation
of the Dance Contest. For the 2 years in quarantine, he mentioned that this is a great opportunity to regain
health and fitness in the form of showcasing their God-given talents and hoped that the pupils will enjoy
this activity.

The presentation of each school’s Dance Performance of Galaw Pilipinas followed in the order
of: Balanga Elementary School, Cataning Elementary School, Cupang Elementary School, T. Camacho
Elementary School, Tenejero Elementary School and Tuyo Integrated School.
After the presentation of each school, Mass Demonstration of the Calisthenic Dance was
performed by all participating schools. The awarding followed with Mr. Sammy Sabello of COBNHS
announcing the results. He first made it clear that the videos submitted were already prejudged and that
the presented live performance has no bearing on the result of winners.
