Modify verb, adjective and time frequency


Kinds of adverb
1. adverb of manners
It is modify how something happens.
Adverb manner is usually formed by adding “ ly “ to
the adjective.

Slow slowly
Polite politely
Fluent fluently
Diligent diligently

Some adjective with ending ly when we use this
form as an adverb we say in... way /manner
/fashion.

Sickly-silly-cowardly-undfriendly

They always greet him in a friendly way
She handles young children in a lovely way
Mother looks after the babyin a motherly way
She greeted me in a sickly way
2. Adverb of frequency
It is modify how often something happens.

Always, almost always, usually, normally
Frequently- often, sometimes, generally
Seldom, hardly, ever, never
Position of adverb in sentence
A. AFTER BE : He is otten late
B. AFTER AUXILIARY : she will always be late
in the morning
C. BEFORE VERB : I never met him when i was in
jakarta
For certain emphasis generally , normally, often,
usually, are put after subject
- my mother would not worry if the children come

3. Adverb of time

It is to express time of frequency


Examples : tommorrow, today, yesterday, soon,
never, usually, always, yet.

4. Adverb of place
It is to express place such as at home, at school,
in the library, in the dining room at the restaurant
