Scene 1

Indian

Anubhav: - Today is a great day for our company as we have important clients coming from
Japan. I need this deal as it will help our company grow to new heights.

Priyanshi: - Absolutely, I have prepared these documents containing information related to

the market segment, product demand and our supply chain network. I am sure that this
merger will be successful.

Mahesh: - We must also make them feel at ease and welcomed. A good first impression
leads to a long-lasting relation. We must show them that we Indians are understanding and
trustworthy and prefer trust above all else.

Anubhav: - Yes, let’s make it happen everyone.

Japanese

Anushka: - Even though the initial feedback about this company is good. I still have some
reservations about whether it will be able to provide us with sufficient network and scale to
operate in India.

Priyanka: - Out of all the prospects till now this one company even though small in scale
shows a lot of potential. I think this will be a good starting point for expansion into the
Indian market.

Mohit: - I think that we should approach this from a neutral stance and observe them before
making any judgements. During intial talks this company shows great potential but we
should carefully observe their conduct and preparation during this meeting it can say a lot
about their business style and general approach.

Scene 2

Both Indian and Japanese meet for the meeting regarding Japanese expansion into the
Indian interior designing market.
Japanese: - Konichiwa

Indians: - Welcome!

Anubhav: - I hope your trip was pleasant

Anushka: - Yes it went well. Although India is a bit hotter as compared to Japan.

Priyanshi: - Yes it gets a bit hot during this time of the year.

Mohit: - From our initial talks you talked about having an adequate supply chain network
that can give us a good start in expanding our business into the Indian market.

Anubhav: - Yes, our company is built upon years of trust and customer satisfaction. We
focus on providing our customers the best possible service and our network is spread wide
even in remote locations.

Mohit: - That’s great but earlier you talked about how your company can provide us wide
coverage at reduced costs as compared to others.

Mahesh: - Yes, we designed our network in a way that can significantly reduce costs. I have
prepared the necessary documents summarizing all the information related to network,
contacts, market share and strategy.

Priyanka: - Thank you, let us go through the documents.

Anubhav: - Yes, we should take a small break.

During break….

Japanese were busy in going over the documents.

Mahesh: - Hello, I would like to place an order at the usual location. (ORDER CAN BE
IMPROVISED chole bhathure, lemonade to combat heat, kulfi faluda, sambhar dosa, vada
pav,etc)

Meanwhile priyanshi asks Anubhav for leave…...

Priyanshi: - Sir, actually I want a leave for 3 days I have to attend a close relative’s marriage.

Anubhav: - Due to this recent deal with the _____(Name) Japanese firm we already have a
lot of workload…leave at a time like this is unacceptable.

Priyanshi: - I understand that sir but I absolutely must attend this marriage as it’s a very
close relative and not going will result in severe family implications for me.
Anubhav: - Ok I can approve a leave of 2 days not more. In case of any emergency, you will
have to work remotely.

Priyanshi: - Thank you sir.

Back to the meeting…...

Priyanka:- Ok so we have some questions regarding your network
