1. Define SCIENCE in your own words.

 According to my understanding, science is a way to any notion of knowledge dealing with

the physical world and its phenomena, requiring unbiased views and thorough studies on
the events around us. A science, in general, is the pursuit of information concerning unified
facts or the operations of basic principles. It is constantly improving and broadening our
understanding when it comes to our environment and ourselves. It is also open and raises
new scope of information to gain for future discoveries. In fact, for me, it is constant and will
never be "settled" in the fact that it is with us every time.
2. Give your own working definition of Technology.

 When we talk about technology it generally entails a specific piece of equipment, which
might be very simple or astoundingly advanced. It may be anything from the inventions of
the wheel or transportation to computers, and of course, smart phones. But for me it is more
than that, because in general, whenever we apply our scientific knowledge to attain a certain
goal, we are employing technology, and technology is the practical application of scientific
knowledge to everything, whether in production of goods or our basic needs in our daily life.
It also helps us to cope up on our own satisfaction, entertainment for example and many
more. It made our life easier and practical. So, for me, the definition of technology is simply,
“practical but wise.”
3. Discuss in 3-5 sentences the Importance of Technology in the society.

 Technology has permeated every aspect of people's lives, it became one of the things that
we choose to use all the time that’s why for us it is one of the important things in the
present. Why? Because technology changes our way of living and when I say change, I
mean a “huge” change. It redefined how we work and study, we often use technology as
efficient or convenient way to make a work done, we use it to study since technology can
bring you instant answers to your questions and quarries from certified references. Also,
technology changes the way we consume or purchase, the basic necessities like food,
clothes, even healthcare, and name it, these are just one click away and you’re good to go
with the use of technology. Our technology is also undoubtedly begun to mirror our social
goals and our aims to communicate with people all over the places, on simple words it
makes our life easier since it somehow gave us comfort, benefit and convenient and I think
that’s how important technology is in our society.

information on a range of topics. This
helps individuals to learn a lot and
keep up to speed on global news.

become more affordable.

 Cite one (1) problem related to science and technology that is faced by humanity today.
Since factories run using advanced technology we have, I think one of the most science
and technology related problem faced by humanity today is the issue on environmental
pollution caused by factories all over the world. Factory pollution is frequently associated
with the visible and odorous chimney emissions. Industry also pollutes the water and
land, although not all pollutants are visible, but once they reach the environment or the
water system, they can spread far and wide beyond the facility. Greenhouse gases
produced by the combustion of fossil fuels are the most frequent manufacturing air
pollutants. Carbon dioxide, the most harmful greenhouse gas, is released into the
atmosphere as a result of the combustion of fossil fuels and factory emissions have a
significant role with regards to this. Industry and power plants account for slightly more
than half of all greenhouse gas emissions. Another pollutant is Sulfur dioxide, a crucial
component in the production of acid rain, is another hazardous chemical emitted by the
usage of fossil fuels. Sulfur dioxide substantially contributes to acid rain, its presence in
the atmosphere serves to chill the air and offset the warmth generated by carbon
dioxide. And because of these tremendous disasters may come before our eyes
because some factories really increase the hazard not just in our health but also the
world itself.

 With the problem of pollution there’s a organization who put up a scientific plan for
coping and not cause more harm on our earth and it is called the “Paris Agreement” in
order to significantly minimize the risks and consequences of climate change, the
agreement calls for keeping the global average temperature rise this century to well
below 2 degrees Celsius, while pursuing measures to limit the temperature rise to 1.5
degrees Celsius. Because Global Warming at 1.5 degrees Celsius stated that the
difference between 1.5 and 2 degrees Celsius might result in much greater poverty,
harsh heat, sea level rise, habitat loss, and drought. This is the first solution we have,
and of course we need a cooperation. That’s why secondly, prior to the Paris meeting,
186 countries—responsible for more than 90% of global emissions—submitted carbon
reduction targets known as “intended nationally determined contributions” (INDCs) in
order to meet the Paris Agreement's original objectives.
