Unit Title : Describing the Parts and Functions of the Sense Organs of the Human Body

Grade Level : 3rd grade
Grading Period : 2nd
Time Allocation : One class meeting (70 minutes)

Competence Standards:
The learners demonstrate understanding of parts, and functions of the sense
organs of the human body

Basic Competences:
The learners should be able to describe the parts and functions of the sense organs of
the human body

Indicators:
Practice healthful habits in taking care of the sense organs

Learning Objectives:
Identify the sense organs and their uses.
Identify the organs responsible in situations where the senses are used

Learning Material:
Projector, Laptop, and Speaker

Learning Strategies:
Game-Based Learning, Group Discussion, Summarizing, Muddiest Point

Learning Activities:
1. Through power point presentation, the teacher will discuss the lesson about Parts and
Functions of the Sense Organ of the Body and Its importance
2. Also, the teacher will discuss the Different Sense Organs and Its functions
3. After discussion, the teacher will group students into two and they will have a group
game activity
4. The game was made on Tiny Tap to be presented on projector,
5. To answer the game, each group will have group representative and they are the one
who will answer the game
6. To answer the game, the assigned group representative will come closer to the
teacher and the representative will click the answer on the teacher’s laptop.
7. The answer will be shown on projector
8. After the game, the teacher will ask students to write down a one sentence summary
on what they have learned from the lesson and submit it to their teacher (The teacher
will give them 5 minutes to finish it.)
9. After that, the teacher will distribute an index card and ask her students to write
down the topic or idea that they understood least, and the teacher will collect it later on
10. After collecting the index card, the teacher will call her student one by one and she
will explain well what does her student understood least on the topic.
