Dear Fernando:

I hope you are good. I am very grateful to tell you what is going on in my life, and what I

have planned for the future. First of all, what about you? I am excited to know. In the

second, I want to talk about how my vacation will be. I have planned a trip with my

university friends to the beach in the second week of June, because we won’t have any

extra homework to do at that time and I hope it will be fun. I just bought a guitar, and I

am going to practice hard, because I am going to take classes of guitar in an academy

next to the university, each class is expected to take two or three hours. Probably you

are questioning yourself like “What happened to this guy, to drastically change his

musical taste and impulse itself to play guitar?” It will be a great question. But, in case

you are thinking that, I will tell you. A few months ago, one of my university friends,

invited me to a concert of Rock, I told him: “I won’t attend to a Rock concert, I hate

Rock”, this just detonate a rampage of attempts of convincing to me. Eventually, I

decided to give it a chance and ended up enjoying the concert so much that I decided to

take up guitar lessons.

In terms of more serious topics, I will be pursuing a specialization in my career field that

is focused on developing videogames and audio. As you know, I played a lot of

videogames when I was a child, and I am very excited to learn more about the process

of creating them through this program at university. But, there is no doubt that this

specialization demands creativity, discipline and a lot of work, even though, I am going

to give all my efforts to complete this courses.

Since I am going to take guitar lessons, it is very likely that I will join the Guitar Club at

the university. I hope there will be many people available to teach and help each other

improve in what we love. However, I realize that I will have to balance my time between

my guitar lessons, the club, and my studies, so I will need to stay organized and

focused.

In my free time. I want to just improve my knowledge in my career, because I love it,

and it will be very useful in the future. Not only in terms of economic benefits, but also in

scientific collaborations with other fields and in the development of future projects. It is

incredible what humans will be capable of achieving in the future. I hope our technology

will be useful in terms of preserving culture, advancing knowledge, fighting hunger,

preserving ecosystem and more. However, there is also a negative aspect to this.

Humans will need to play a role in regulating technology because it can be very

dangerous to our existence and balance. The risk of disaster is inherent in technology.
