Preliminary activities:

Before we begin may ask all of you to
please stand up for a short prayer

Before we begin our class here are some
rules that you must follow these are:
1. Listen very well when someone is
talking or discussing in front.
2. Do not cause any noise or disturbance
during the discussion.
3. Please raise your right hand if you
want to answer.

A. Presenting the Today we are having English subject


New Lesson
Before we start I will group you into
two groups. I will give each group a
different picture puzzle. The group that
will complete the picture puzzle first
will be given an award.

Group 1, please read what word you


create in the picture puzzle you have
solved? Real ma’am

How about group 2? Made up ma’am

Do you have any idea what our topic is


today? No ma’am

Our topic for today is about real and


made up, what exactly do we mean
when we say real or made up?

So who wants to get here in front and


pick a piece of paper in our box and
read what is written in the paper? Me ma’am

I need 2 pupils

Okay please read the meaning of real Real- existing as a thing, occurring in
fact, not imagined

How about made up Made up- invented, not true


Now that you know the meaning of real
or made up, I have a story here.
B. Establishing the May I ask all of you to please read the
purpose of the story.

Last summer, I went into the dusty,
old garage, I walked up to the dirty car.
With my small magic flashlight, I
looked under the seats. I found a smelly,
yellow sock. Then I found a helpful
alligator. He told me to look in the
trunk.
There I found a singing spider. He
sang a song about a striped pig. Next
thing, I knew, I saw a flying pig, soar to
the stars. A talking ant came up to me,
and he said, “That flashlight is making
you see things”

Okay did you liked our short story? Yes ma’am

with our story? There are words with color

Okay so now I have here 2 columns one


says REAL and the other says MADE-
UP

But before we read we have to read the


meaning of these words that we will
read later on in the story so we can
understand the story better.

Napkin- a square piece of cloth

Sprouted-the sprouting seeds of certain
beans
Beanstalk-
the stem of a bean plant, proverbially
fast growing and tall.

Dave's Beans

Dave's mom made bean soup. She gave


him three black beans." Let's watch
them grow, said Dave."Bean's need sun
and water to grow." said Dave's mom.
She gave him a jar. First, Dave put a
napkin in the jar. Next, he put some
water on the napkin.

Then, he put the beans on the napkin.


Last, he put the lid on the jar. Dave set
the jar near a window.The sun warmed
the jar. The sun warmed the beans. In
two days, Dave saw tiny white shoots.
The beans sprouted, "he said. The
shoots will be the beans roots, said
Dave's mom. The shoots grew long and
green.

The next morning he woke up to a


busted jar and a beanstalk out into the
sky. Dave climbed the beanstalk and
was met by a giant. The giant was
planning a party. Dave helped him with
the invitations and then went home.
