SENSORIAL

(PE 1 and 2 – Innovative)

In the sensorial area, students developed their visual, tactile, olfactory and gustatory through several stimuli. They
learned about comparison, grading, seriation, gradation of colors as well as basic mathematical vocabulary with the
utilization of the Sound Boxes, Knobbed Cylinders 1 and 2, Color Box 3 combined with the extension use of the Pink Tower
and Broad Stairs, the Knobbed Cylinders 1-4, the Long Roads and Knobbles Cylinders. They also learned about sorting
things based on their size (big-medium-small) using objects in the class, tasting, smelling, and squeezing with the use of
smelling jars, fruits, balloons, etc. (reinforcement).
No Phase Student’s Progress

4 Excellent During this term, student A learned to do all those activities. He/she has developed
all the sensorial skills of Knobbed Cylinders 1-4, Color Box 3, and extension use of
the pink tower and broad stairs. He/she also works independently to sort the objects
in the class based on their size (big, medium, and small). They learned to distinguish
the scents, tastes, and textures by tasting, smelling, and squeezing with the use of
filled jars and balloons, and slices of fruit.

3 Very Good During this term, student A learned to do all those activities above. He/she has
developed most of the sensorial skills of Knobbed Cylinders 1-4, Color Box 3, and
extension use of the pink tower and broad stairs. He/she also occasionally needs a
little help sorting the objects in the class based on their size (big, medium, and
small). They learned to distinguish the scents, tastes, and textures by tasting,
smelling, and squeezing with the use of filled jars and balloons, and slices of fruit.

2 Fair to Good During this term, student A learned to do all those activities above. He/she has
developed some sensorial skills in Knobbed Cylinders 1-4, Color Box 3, and extension
use of the pink tower and broad stairs. He/she also needs some help from the
teacher to sort the objects in the class based on their size (big, medium, and small).
They learned to distinguish the scents, tastes, and textures by tasting, smelling, and
squeezing with the use of filled jars and balloons, and slices of fruit.

1 Need Practice During this term, Student A learned to do all those activities above. He/she has
developed a few sensorial skills in Knobbed Cylinders 1–4, Color Box 3, and extension
use of the pink tower and broad stairs. He/she also works mostly with the teacher’s
help to sort the objects in the class based on their size (big, medium, and small). They
learned to distinguish the scents, tastes, and textures by tasting, smelling, and
squeezing with the use of filled jars and balloons, and slices of fruit.
