Midrange
Midrange is the number that is exactly halfway
between the minimum and maximum numbers in a
set of data.
To work out the midrange, you must find the sum of both the smallest and largest, and
divide it by 2.

Formula
Midrange = Highest Score + Lowest Score ÷ 2

Example:
Find the midrange for the following set of numbers: 2, 4, 7, 10, 14, 35.

Highest Score/Number: 35
Lowest Score/Number: 2
Formula:
Midrange = Highest Score + Lowest Score ÷ 2
Solution:
35 + 2 ÷ 2 37 ÷ 2 18.5
Answer:
The Midrange is 18.5

Range
The range is defined simply as the difference between
the maximum and minimum value in the distribution.
Mean deviation is defined mathematically as the ratio of
the summation of absolute values of dispersion to the
number of observations.
Henceforth, we simply subtract the minimum value from the maximum value.

Formula
Range = Highest Score - Lowest Score

Median
Median refers to the middle measure or middle value in
an ordered arrangement of data, wherein half of the
terms are located above the median and half are below
the median.
To determine the Median of the ungrouped data, arrange the scores from highest to lowest, then the
median is the score at the middle.

Formula
Odd - Look for the middle score in the set
Even - Take two numbers in the middle, add them, and then divide by 2.

75, 79, 80, 82.

Solution:
(39 +1) ÷ 2 40 ÷ 2 20

The answer "20" is not the median but the position of your median.

Example:
Find the median of the first ten even numbers.
First ten even numbers: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
Take the two middle numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
Add 10 and 12: 10 + 12 = 22
Then, divided it by 2 which is equals to 11
Therefore, the median is 11.
