2. All submissions must be in ENGLISH.
3. Delay in submission shall be treated as NON-SUBMISSION.
4. Please read all instructions and assessment rubric before proceeding with
the task.

ASSIGNMENT MEASURED OUTCOME


Case Study Analysis Report will measure students’ acquired knowledge and
understanding on the installation and process of deep foundation, basement
construction process and steel structure construction through research skills and
written skills.
ASSESSMENT RUBRICS
1. Each group written report assignment will be based on the following rubrics: -

WRITTEN REPORT (15 MARKS)

• 15 marks (Excellent)
Excellent and clear introduction and overview of the topic. Findings /
discussions are clearly and effectively discussed and reflected logically. Very
smooth flow of ideas and expression. Conclusion is presented clearly. List of
references are presented clearly with correct format. Excellent organisation of
report.

• 11 – 14 marks (Good)
Good introduction and overview of the topic. Findings / discussions are good
and discussed and reflected logically. Smooth flow of ideas and expression.
Conclusion is presented well. List of references are presented with correct
format. Good organisation of report.

• 6 – 10 marks (Average)
Introduction is introduced and somewhat discussed. Findings / discussions are
introduced but not clearly reflected. There is moderate attempt to present the
finding clearly, effectively and logically. Conclusion is moderately presented.
List of references are moderately presented in correct format. Average
organization of report.

• 2 – 5 marks (Poor)
Introduction is introduced and somewhat irrelevant. Findings / discussions are
introduced and somewhat discussed. Conclusion is irrelevant. List of
references are presented with poor format or no references. Poor organisation
of report.

• 1 mark = very poor / duplication of work

• 0 = late submission / non-submission

INSTRUCTION FOR WRITTEN REPORT


1. Each group must submit a hardcopy report based on the topic given.
2. Each group is required to attach any related photos, diagrams and tables (if
required) to support the information in the report.
3. Each group must submit a copy of the report in A4 size with Arial 11 or Times New
Roman 12 font size, 1.5 spacing and justified, with all the pages bound in comb
binding.
4. List at least five (5) references from related books (internet resources will be count
as other than books) to complete the report.
