EXPLANATION LETTER

To whom it may concern:

I write in connection with the explanation letter being requested from me by the Korean
Embassy regarding my unemployment, in order to process my visa application. First of all, I am
already a senior citizen and shall be reaching 66 years of age by 22 December 2022. And
because of the pandemic and its economic repercussions, I was unfortunately forced to retire
from being a lawyer—a noble profession I practiced for almost 40 years. Presently, I am being
supported by my children who are professionals in their own right—one of which is a
businessman and pilot, the other, a resident doctor at Bulacan Medical Center, and the last, a
lawyer at Esguerra & Blanco Law Offices in Makati.

I affirm that I have sufficient assets and money to responsibly cover my expenses during my trip
to South Korea, including the return flight to the Philippines as well as any unforeseen expenses
which I may incur therein. I also warrant that I shall dutifully abide by the laws and regulations
of the Korean government. I’ve been to South Korea back in 2010 and 2015, and have not been
involved in any untoward incident with the Korean authorities.

I am also available to supply you any documents necessary for the processing of my visa
application.

It would be of help if you could kindly do the needful and issue me a Korean visa.

Thank you so much!

Very truly yours,

Cenon J. Navarro
