Topic: Research Questions Hypothesis and Variables

Here are the following three factors contribute to a solid basis for research studies:

1. Research questions: A research question is a specific query to which the research aims to offer a
response. It is at the heart of systematic study and assists you in clearly defining a path for the research
process. It is generally the initial stage in any research effort. Essentially, it is the key questioning point
of your study and sets the pace for your work. The study's research questions are generated.

2. A hypothesis is a theory or explanation for something that is based on known facts but has yet to be
proven. In other words, it is a statement that, while based on facts, gives an explanation for why or how
something works but has not yet been formally tested. It is a forecast of what the investigation will
discover.

3. Variables are any attribute, characteristic, number, or quantity that rises or decreases over time or can
take on different values in different contexts. (Age, gender, export, income and spending, family size,
country of birth, capital expenditure, class grades, and so on.)

Variables are classified into two types: dependent and independent variables.

▪ The independent variable is the variable that the researcher manipulates or alters, and it is supposed
to have a direct influence on the dependent variable.

▪ The dependent variable is the variable that is tested and measured in an experiment and is
'depending' on the independent variable.
