EXT. HOUSE - MORNING EWS
Nice clean house, decorated for Halloween. The air is clear, and
the world is about to be hit with an innovative product.

INT. BEDROOM - MORNING FS

ARNIE, a young, not very self-aware, entrepreneur who is sure he
is going to make it. Tall, light brown hair, blue eyes

Arnie arises from his bedsheets, stretches his arms, and yawns.

Zoom into MS
ARNIE
Hi, my name is Arnie Humphrey, and you are watching a documentary
about my life before my success and fame.

Arnie hurriedly jumps out of his bed and walks out of frame

CUT TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

ARNIE (V.O)
So, I have come up with a revolutionary product

Arnie demonstrating and displaying his product, the Tube Grabber.

Which is a contraption used to grab TV remotes from hard to reach
places.
CUT TO:
EXT. STORE - DAY MS
ARNIE
and because I know of the success I am going to reach,

INT. STORE - DAY FS

Arnie speaking with an employee of the store regarding a film
crew and equipment
ARNIE (V.O)
I have borrowed some money in order to document my life while I’m
still a regular ol’ guy.

CUT TO:
EXT. STORE - DAY MS
ARNIE
(Looking off into the distance, hands on hips)
Yeah, it’s gonna be great
INT. HOUSE - DAY
FS Pan from rest of the house to Arnie
Arnie walks into the bathroom and turns around

ARNIE
(Arms open wide, showing off bathroom)
This is where the magic happens

INT. BATHROOM - MORNING

Montage of Arnie’s morning routine

Arnie turns the lights on in the morning, his light brown hair
looks disheveled FS

ARNIE (V.O.)
A good morning routine is very important to me

As an exceptional man, I need to make sure I have a good start to
the day

INT. KITCHEN - MORNING

ARNIE (V.O.)
That also means having a healthy and balanced breakfast

ARNIE’S FATHER
(Gesturing to cameras)
I don’t really understand all of this, Arnie seems to be very
confident in his product which I also don’t understand. Uhhh, but
you know he is a great kid.

OTS Zoom into Arnie spitting out veggie

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL - MORNING

Arnie walking down the bright school hallway with a big smile and
glasses on his face Trucking MS

ARNIE
Even with my product entering the market in about a week, I still
have to continue being a great student

Arnie working hard at his desk in his class, rubbing his chin,
writing down some notes MS

ARNIE (V.O.)
Paying attention, participating, and studying is very important

FS zoom into MCU of Arnie hunched over his desk, snoring

ARNIE’S CLASSMATE
Arnie Humphrey? Oh, um, I’ve never really talked to him, he
always sleeps during class

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY

School bell RINGS
Arnie is scared awake by the bell, he sees the cameras on him and
quickly gestures for them to stop filming FS

Arnie walking out of the classroom Trucking MS

Arnie
Now that school is over, I have football practice. Gotta get
those extra-curriculars in

CUT TO:

EXT. FIELD - DAY

Arnie ridiculously doing warm-ups, making it obvious he is not
the most athletic FS

ARNIE

(Hands on hips, heavily breathing)

Uhhh, I’m not too bad. I don’t get out on the field during games
too much but that's cause they’re savin’ me

ARNIE’S COACH
Arnie is a cool guy, very passionate. Not very sure about his
talent in football but uhh

Arnie’s coach looks over his shoulder, Arnie ran trying to catch
the football, but got hit with it and then falls over. OTS

Arnie’s coach looks back to the camera

ARNIE’S COACH
…He tries his best.

WS Zoom into MCU Arnie on the ground, limbs spread out and
breathing hard

CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Arnie sitting at his desk, with plans for his product on his
computer

ARNIE
Usually at night, I work on some of the business for my product
since it is coming out soon.

Arnie actually working hard on his computer and filling out

documents MS

ARNIE

But uhh, I have a school trip tomorrow so, I should get to bed
soon

CUT TO:
INT. SCHOOL BUS - MORNING
Arnie sitting in his bus seat MS

ARNIE
We’re going to Garret Mountain today for a nice trip, I plan on
just jogging around, gettin’ some exercise. You know, just the
usual
(nods)
CUT TO:

EXT. GARRET MOUNTAIN - MORNING

Arnie, in athletic clothing, stretching to go on a jog MS

ARNIE
I’m using this day to get in some cardio, usually I have a
morning jog, but I was a bit tired today. Did a lot of business
stuff for the Tube Grabber last night

Arnie, on a slow jog, trucking MS

ARNIE
I like to help people, make their lives easier y’know. That’s why
I have been working on creating this product and- Oh over there

Arnie points and camera pans to 2 girls walking and holding their
backpacks

ARNIE
 7.

-looks like they need some help

Arnie runs over and kindly takes their backpacks from them,
straining a bit

ARNIE
Let me help you girls out, those bags look heavy

GIRL 1
(looking at camera awkwardly)
Umm, I think we’re okay

GIRL 2
(also looking at camera awkwardly)
Yeah, we don’t need the help, you shouldn’t carry those by
yourself

Arnie starts walking forward but then twists his ankle and falls
over. Arnie drops the bags and grabs at his ankle, crying in pain

CUT TO:

Arnie’s teacher carrying him away from the scene, and other
students looking at him, giggling

STUDENT 1
He’s so ridiculous, he thinks he has such a great idea. I mean he
does not stop talking about it! It’s so tiring.

STUDENT 2
(nodding)
 8.

Yeah, I’m waiting for his product to fail so he can just quit it
already

CUT TO:

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

Arnie sitting on his bed, watching the footage that has been
filmed so far on his computer. Audio from the previous
conversation with the student plays. He closes pauses the video
MS

ARNIE
(sighs, defeated)
This whole idea was dumb, I don’t know what I was thinking. I
don’t even know if the Tube Grabber is going to succeed or not.
But, I’ve already done so much work for it, I’m just going to
release it and see how it goes. No one is probably going to even
see this. You can turn the cameras off now

Screen goes black, and audio cuts out

Audio from news segments talking about the success of the Tube
Grabber creeps
REPORTER
This new and innovative product is amazing! Make sure to get
yours because they are selling out fast! Also, there is
speculation that the creator Arnie Humphrey has a documentary
about himself in the works! So let’s all look forward to that

DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. BUILDING - DAY
 9.

Arnie walks out of a building, dressed in nice attire with

sunglasses

ARNIE
(confidently)
Hey! Have not done this in a bit. I just got out of a meeting,
the Tube Grabber is a HUGE hit, as expected. Uhh, all the people
that were doubting me before have been proven horribly wrong. I’m
embarrassed at the fact that I even let that bring down my
confidence. Moral of the story is, don’t let anything or anyone
refrain you from pursuing something that you believe in.

Arnie pulls down his glasses and winks at the camera. Then walks
off screen, confidently, knowing how successful he is, as he
predicted in the beginning
