Job Description of Relationship Manager

JOB TITLE Relationship Manager

LOCATION Candidate should be willing to serve at any of the branches of the


bank across the country.

CONDITIONS Normal working conditions. Six days a week and eight hours a day.

The purpose of the role is to build and maintain strong, long-lasting


JOB customer relationships, oversee customer account management,
SUMMARY including negotiating contracts and agreements, business
development sales activities such as product demonstration, carrying
out site visits, ascertaining and meeting the needs of customers
through problem / issue solving, advising on product upgrades to
customers. Closing out progress and resolution will be required to
provide feedback back to leadership and resolve customer satisfaction
to increase customer loyalty.

Duties and Responsibilities


 To manage own workload to ensure the timely and successful delivery of
personal tasks in line with the business needs.

 Responsible for increasing liabilities size of relationship via balances in


accounts of existing customers and enhancing customer profitability by
capturing larger share of wallet.

 Responsible for deepening the existing relationships by cross selling of Bank's


products and Services/ third party investment products.

 Increasing customer engagement through other non-investment products like


Forex, Remittances, Loans, etc. to the new and existing customers.

 To carry out client communications relating to service issues that impact the
client population ensuring relevant information is communicated using
appropriate channels.

 To perform the Business Relationship tasks within the Customer Complaints


Process, coordinating activities to ensure that each case is satisfactorily
resolved

Skills Required
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 Proven ability to design and balance strategic priorities against tactical needs
 Adept at working with other groups to identify and improve processes
 Ability to deliver tough messages diplomatically and quickly drive toward
solutions to problems
 Identifies and provides input into new initiatives process/workflow
improvements and program/policy changes.
 Suggests and implements creative or unique solutions to solve problems.
Assists product management and marketing in the development of new
products/services.
 Maintains and enhances relationships with the decision makers at plan
sponsors.
 Recommends a wide range of company products/services in response to
client's business requirements - including proactively suggesting solutions to
clients.
 Create strategy for client accounts to maximize usage, advancement and
revenue.
 Effectively advise clients and manage client events.
 Respond to all client inquiries in a timely manner.
 An agile learner who is ready to gain new skills in business practice, software
process, technical strategy, presentation, and management skills.
 Able to effectively teach customers, unfamiliar with our product offerings in an
approachable manner.
 Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word provide a solid
foundation for success.
 Bachelor’s degree Business or related/applicable field or equivalent years of
experience.
