Chapter V
Summary of Findings
In this research, we try to find out what are the effects of the K to 12 curriculum to a
Filipino Family. We started by formulating questions that may be basic but can answer the main
question. Afterwards, we distributed the questionnaires that we’re able to form, making sure that
some parents will be able to answer it knowing that they’re the ones who know what is the real
effect of the K to 12 to our society. After tabulating the questionnaires, we’ve learned that a lot
of respondents say that the K to 12 curriculum is basically about giving students better skills and
knowledge. Maybe because our country is known as one of the countries that has a high rate of
poverty. Through the K to 12 curriculum, the students will be able to look for a job even if
he/she finished senior high school only. For a country like ours’ a more immediate way of
having an opportunity to look for a decent job is badly needed, so for a lot of the respondents, the
main intention of the K to 12 curriculum is to provide more knowledge and skills for the students
to be able to look for a more decent job.
Conclusion
According to the result of our findings the students' parents among other people are the
one who mostly concerned about the implementation of the K to12 curriculum. Thesis Kto12
program will be a burden on the part of parents and students, not just for emotional, physical
reason but also in financial aspect because this program will prolong the gears of stay in the
school of the students.
However, the implementation of the K to12 program will make the graduates prepared
emotionally for entrepreneurship or employment or higher disciplines. It will enhance knowledge
and skills of the students. Good education is the best way to lift the Filipino people from the
puberty state.

industry. Through K to12 program the current education will posters competencies or emotional
maturity essential for the world’s work force.
Recommendations
The following recommendation are derived from the findings and conclusions:
1. Parents should watch programs from television which will help them to get a better
understanding about K to 12 program. If they have suggestion any clarification, the government
should entertain it and be open to the public and different schools of giving the right information
regarding the new program
2. The K to 12 program should include subject which will boosts the student personality to face
the problem generated from economic crisis and environmental dilemma
