Assembly of Two Main Girders on Ground Yes No Yes No
a) Lay concrete blocks and timber shims to get a correct horizontal floor
b) Unload from the low-bed trailer the first element and position it on the
top of the concrete blocks according to the horizontal and vertical
alignment.
c) Unload from the low-bed trailer the second element and position it on
top of the concrete blocks very close to the first element. Check the
horizontal and vertical alignment.
d) Insert tightening bars Ø40 and bolts and follow the bolt tensioning
3 procedure to connect the elements
e) Position the runway under the girder
f) Connect the central element through threaded bar size 56, according to
relevant drawing
g) Complete the stressing of bars according to drawing and checked final
straightness of element runways
h) Install the runway elements at the bottom of the truss by means of bolts
and follow the bolt tensioning procedure
i) Repeated the operation as above procedure for the 2nd main girder
Assembly of Rear Support (RS) Yes No Yes No
a) Assemble RS on ground and make sure all bolted joints where indicated
on drawings are torque tightened as per Approved Shop Drawings
Note: To attach documented evidence of the bolt friction coefficient.
4 b) Lift the RS onto Pier Segment at Pier N

b) Lift the FS onto Pier N-1
c) Check the vertical and horizontal alignment
d) Anchoring bars size 32 and 36 are installed and stressed to pier (hand
tightening for bar size 32, 524kN for bar size 36).
7 Erection of Main Girders Yes No Yes No
a) Lift first Main Girder by using two cranes and put the girder on top of the
support rollers
b) Install guide wheels on the RS & AS
c) Install the anchor block assembly on the girder runway and connect the
hydraulic cylinder L42 ME AN C003
d) Operate the cylinder to provide stability to the girder
e) Repeat the operation as above procedure for the 2nd main girder
f) Check for transversal and longitudinal alignment of both the girders and
adjust level if necessary
8 Assembly of Front Head Yes No Yes No
a) Lift the front head to reach the correct position next to the girders
b) Insert threaded bar size 40 and pins between front head and girders
c) Stress the bars with stressing force 450kN
d) Install stop ends on internal side, on top of girder
9 Assembly of Rear Head Yes No Yes No
a) Lift the rear head to reach the correct position next to the girders
b) Insert threaded bar size 40 and pins between rear head and girders
c) Stress the bars with stressing force 450kN
d) Install stop ends on internal side, on top of girder
10 Assembly of Trolley Winch Yes No Yes No
a) Lift the trolley winch and position it on top of the girders
b) Install the anchoring system on the trolley
11 Erection of Hanging System Yes No Yes No
a) Lift each hanging system section and position it on top of the girders
b) Secure each section to the girder by tightening bolts according to the
bolt table
c) Insert all bracings to secure sections to the main girder.
d) Install support plates and DYWIDAG hanging bars as well as the self-
lifting system.
12 Finishing and Set Up
a) Wind up the rope of the travelling capstans of the Winch.
b) Proceed with electric plant wiring and set up.
c) Set up all the hydraulic equipment
d) Complete the erection of remaining parts, including lifting ropes, support
travelling ropes.
