DESCRIPTION AND SEQUENCE OF LIFTING OPERATION
List the sequence of operation in a way to do the task safely e.g. (crane comes first or trailer, lift load #2 before load #1
etc.)
➢ Loading and unloading of Concrete foundation block and miscellaneous items.
➢ Escort the Telehandler into the site and set it up on firm-level ground make a trial lift to check any obstruction and
verify the radius,
➢ Toolbox talk to be carried out prior to starting work about specific to the job,
➢ Banksman to make the area clear from people and barricade the area and control entry and exit,
➢ Riggers to start rigging up the crane hook using mentioned rigging gear capacity then rig up the load,
➢ Signaler to give signals to the crane operator to lift the load from pick up point and drop on the desired location

Note1: Reference shall be made to Lifting Data Tables which are required for all Lifts Categories (Refer to
Appendix 11).
Note2: Ground Condition- Temporary works design in place and checked off where appropriate. Compaction
Test shall be carried out by Soil Specialist.
Note3: where operating jib height equals or exceeds 10m above surrounding structures at any time, the appointed
person must advise and consult with the manager from any airport/ airfield within 6 km of the site.
Site and Crane Layout Pan
Include crane position, lay-down/rigging area, position of delivery vehicles, landing points, banksman positions,
ground and overhead hazards and exclusion zones. If required use elevation drawings.

SAFE SYSTEM OF WORK- METHODOLOGY


➢ Identify presence of hoses cables and other temporary fixtures in work site and include in TBT,
➢ Stop all lifting activity beyond wind speed 20 knot,
➢ Using of tag line to control load movement
➢ Escort all heavy vehicle to and from site,
➢ Competent and TPI certified rigger, & operator,
➢ Use radio communication for all blind lifts,
➢ Area should be barricaded until lifting operation completed and Telehandler is dismounted and leave the
area,
➢ All equipment’s and lifting gears have a third-party certificate on hand,
➢ Visual inspection is carried out prior to use of accessories and has color coded,
