I. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION/RATIONALE & OBJECTIVES

The Seminar Series is part of the requirement of the third (3rd) year social work students
under the SW 19 subject with the course description “Seminar on Current Trends in Social Work
Practice”. The course will take up special topics on emerging trends in social work practice
focusing on the profession’s responses to social issues and problems. The third (3 rd) year
students are required to organize a webinar on a chosen topic.

For further description a table of activities was prepared below:

The activity aims to:

 demonstrate appropriate use of strategies & skills in conducting seminars,


workshops, and trainings;
 develop their communication and facilitating skills; and
 develop their leadership skills through working with their team members.
