MANUFACTURING OF MS WIRE & HOT DIP GALVANIZING

Galvanized M.S. Wire has versatile use in producing different

Engineering items such as Building Hardware, barbed wires, Screens
rivets etc. Special quality of wire is also required for producing
special purpose fasteners, reinforcement wire etc. The Galvanized
M.S. Wire is a Mild Wire which is coated with a layer of Zinc. The
Galvanized M.S. Wire offers better surface protection at lower cost in
humid atmosphere.

The most of the market demand of M.S. wire is in the range of 10 to 14

SWG. This is because wire nails , panel pins , wire nettings , barbed wires,
standard wires, wires required for reinforced concrete etc. are made from
these gauges . It is said that approximately 75% of the total demand of
M.S. wire would fall within this range and twenty five percent of the
remaining demand would go to thinner gauges. This project considers the
galvanizing process as a part of integrated project facilities to manufacture
galvanized wires along with the normal ms wires as a value addition and
profit enhancement activity.

The plant and machineries in a typical 1000 MT / year plant at the

current prices is estimated to be Rs. 60 Lakhs. However, the total
project cost will include land, building, other fixed assets, working
capital requirements towards raw materials, utilities, consumables,
recurring expenses and manpower cost. A complete financial analysis
is normally worked out for a particular client, keeping in view its
specific conditions of capacity, scheme of manufacturing, location,
logistics and other local cost factors. However, typical working
indicates a reasonable return on investment and payback of capital
cost between 3 – 4 years for this project.

HOW TO START THIS PROJECT

The above is just a brief project profile. Starting point for any project
is consultancy which starts from preparation of a detailed project
report (DPR). DPR is also necessary for registering under SSI /MSME
at DIC, for claiming incentives and for arranging funds from partners
/ promotes / Qarzan Hasanah etc. A DPR on this project will cover

CHARGES: Our charges for preparing this DPR is Rs. 14500/- It takes about
a week to 10 days after receiving advance payment. For full project
consultancy after DPR (plant layout, machinery purchasing, site
supervision etc) we chage 4% of the cost.
