NARRATIVE REPORT ON A FUNCTIONAL READING CORNER

Senior High School Department

Room 5 of SHS Bldg. 3 of Cataingan National High School has a functional reading
corner situated in right corner of the classroom near the entrance door. It is a relaxing place to
read with two bamboo chairs and a table where students can read and relax during their
vacant period. The corner has also the LR Nook and the Mini Library for easy access of
books and resources that they loved to read. Plants are placed too beside the bamboo chairs
and there are some reading quotes found on the wall to add beauty and of course to encourage
learners to read.
These are list of the books which can be found in the reading corner.

7. English for Academic Purposes 15. General Mathematics
8. Understanding Culture, Society and Politics

There are only 15 books available to read in the reading corner, but we are still aiming
to add more books suitable for Grade 12 learners. Donation of books are encouraged from the
class.
