Start Lesson - Introductory phrases

- ¿Cómo te llamas? - What is your name? (What do you call yourself?)
- Me llamo… - My name is… (I call myself…)
- ¿Cuántos años tienes? - How old are you?
- Tengo ____ anos. - I’m ___ years old.
- ¿Cuál es tu color favorito? - What is your favorite color?
- Mi color favorito es… - My favorite color is…
- Rojo - red
- Azul - blue
- Verde - green

→ Formative assessment - after each question and response, have students turn and talk
to one another
- Procedures: countdown from 5 to bring class back together
- Show of hands (1-5) - rate their understanding

Competencia - whiteboard races

- Students will have whiteboard races
- Fastest = 3 puntos
- Second fastest = 2 puntos
- Third fastest = 1 punto
- Individual with highest number of puntos at the end wins
