Residing at Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, Mr. Ubera was born to Mr. Alfredo and Mrs. Teresita
Ubera on the 17th of September, 1991. From an early age, his wit hardly went unnoticed; First
Honorable Mention during his preparatory and elementary years, Eighth Honorable Mention
during high school, and Cum Laude during his college years. He also won an international poetry
writing contest sponsored by the Republic of Chile and the University of the Philippines last
February 2011. He also finished with flying colors his Master of Arts in Education degree major
in Educational Management (Magna Cum Laude) at Ifugao State University; Bachelor in
Theology and Bachelor in Biblical Religious Studies at Shalom Bible College and Seminary and
at present enrolled with the degree Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Management at
Ifugao State University. Just when everyone thought they saw the best of him, he still had a few
up his sleeves.
But of course, skills and talents such as his must not be enclosed in the school
environment alone - a blessed mind such as him is a gift to everyone. Aside from disseminating
knowledge personally, he also went as far as spreading information even without his mere
presence in the room – his published works attest to this. These articles include The Effects of
Modern Technology to Students (2018), The Value of School Paper (2018), Learning from our
Leaders (2018), and 21st Century Teachers. In relation to these, he is also one of the minds
behind a lengthy list of trainings and seminars and also is also involved in 10 other researches.
Impressed? That’s not even half of it. His extensive list of awards and recognitions is
truly one for the books, add his list of community service and he’ll undoubtedly inspire you. But
perhaps the highlight of everything is when he was awarded the “Outstanding Teacher of the
Year” and “Outstanding Researcher of the Year” during the 2021 and 2022 National Awards for
Educators.
A truly one of a kind individual inspiring and influencing minds of all ages to be unique
in their own way. With a name easily recognized, a face immediately distinguishable, and
characteristics truly admirable, that’s Mr. David John Ubera, the School Head of Ganao National
High School.
