2. the flushing opening of the other tap during the back
back-flushing
flushing should be prevented if
possible.
NOTE!
Counter-current back-flushing:
Due to the lower pressure inside the filter cartridges (01) during the back-flushing (connected
to the atmosphere) and the greater pressure (operating pressure) outside the filter cartridges
((01),
) a counter-current occurs through g the mesh from the clean side of the filter via the dirty
y
side of the filter to the atmosphere.
Before the overflow valves starts to operate, a differential pressure signal (first contact) is
given
i via
i th
the attached
tt h d differential
diff ti l pressure iindicator.
di t Th The cause mustt now b
be llocalized
li d and d
eliminated.
If this signal is not observed, an alarm is switched via the second contact of the differential
pressure indicator.
CAUTION!
The filter must only be operated in this mode (open overflow valves and differential
pressure signal) for a short period of time in an emergency situation
situation. Prolonged operation
in this mode can result in damage to components switched downstream.
NOTE!
O
The overflow valves are closed in normal operating conditions, including in start-up
status with lower medium temperatures.
