Environment Essay

The environment that humans are surrounded by and live in on a daily basis hasn’t been given enough attention, care, and
treatment. This is true due to the heavy use of plastics, deforestation, and the fossil fuels that we regularly consume for
transportation.

First of all, a lot of attention and care towards the environment has been diverted to making lives more convenient for us on a daily
basis by using more plastic. For instance, plastics are used for disposable purposes such as disposable plates and utensils. Plastics
have also been used in the food industry and amazon in order to make packaging more convenient for us as it is easier to
manufacture and put into production alongside being easy to get rid of after it has served its purpose. This has left a detrimental
impact on the marine environment as the plastics that are being disposed of into the oceans end up choking and trapping marine life
that manage to come into contact with it. This shows how we have not been taking good care of the environment around us as we
still continue to use plastic to this day despite knowing that it is very devastating to marine life.

Moreover, the act of deforestation that is damaging the environment is still taking place around the world today. This is true as
deforestation takes place in order to take more land to dedicate for our own intended purposes. For example, land is taken away from
wildlife in order to make room for more agriculture in order to feed the human population alongside schools in order to educate the
population. Additionally, a lot of land is being given to industries in order to build factories in order to produce the goods that we need
to survive in a society. This is very devastating for the environment as without more trees, there are more greenhouse gases that are
being released into the atmosphere and damaging the ozone layer. Although we know how deforestation is making the planet that we
live in suffer, it is still being used as a method to further benefit society.

Finally, the traveling that humans do on a daily basis still rely heavily on fossil fuels despite knowing how much it plays a role in
damaging the environment. Despite having renewable resources at our disposal, fossil fuels are still heavily being used today in the
vehicles that we drive to get from one place to another for our own convenience. Even if personal vehicles aren’t used, relying on
public transportation still has a detrimental effect on the environment as the world is still being polluted with more greenhouse gases.
Despite the advancements in technology with electric cars, the world continues to suffer at the hands of fossil fuels as more
emissions are being produced from electric car production than gasoline cars. Additionally, the majority of the world are still using
internal combustion cars as electric vehicles are still relatively new and more expensive making them a less viable alternative.
Although transportation is mostly done with fossil fuels for the majority of the world’s convenience, it is heavily polluting the
environment that we live in with the greenhouse gas emissions being emitted everyday.
In conclusion, the consistent use of plastics, the current need for deforestation, and the majority of transportation still relying heavily
on fossil fuels goes to show how humans need to do more in order to effectively take care of the environment and the world around
us in order to make it sustainable for future generations.
