I. General Activity Information:


Activity Title: SCHOOL-BASED LAC SESSION ON FARM SCHOOL VISIONING
Activity Description: This 3-day formal face-to-face training aims to provide all teachers
and non-teaching personnel a forum in championing the steps,
actions and decisions of the school in order to succeed in our
operation as one of the recognized farm schools in the region and
as a response to the need to provide all personnel with experiences
in farm management process and equipping them with farm
entrepreneurial skills. This is an initiative to echo the Region
Conduct in the Capability Building for Farm School Heads “Farm
School Visioning”.

Activity Requirements To ensure the orderly conduct of the sessions


and maximization of learning, the following
requirements will be adhered upon by all
participants:
1. Laptop, extension cord and flash drive
2. Conference/training notebook
3. Life Jacket and other PPE for School Farm Visit

Rationale:
The provisions of RA 10618 or the Rural Farm Schools Act acknowledge the necessity of
participation of teachers/tutors in professional development activities and experiences to ensure that
the farm school curricular program is properly implemented, sufficient, and adequate educational
resources are available and accessible to students.
In addition, the said mandate emphasized sustainable agricultural productivity and development as
well as farm entrepreneurship by empowering teachers and students through access to avenues or
learning suited to the needs and realities of the agricultural community.

It has been reiterated by RD Ramir Uytico that we need to provide opportunities to our men and
women so that all of them would be active partakers in response to a sustainable development goal –
eradication of poverty.
Relative to this, the school perceives it as high time to reskill and upskill its teachers in Farm Visioning
and Entrepreneurship so everyone will have a common understanding of how a farm school is done
and why thus, the school deemed it necessary to conduct a LAC session on this topic.
Objectives of the Activity TERMINAL OBJECTIVE: At the end of the activity, the
participants will be able to:

1. Craft a strategic plan with identified goals, strategies, SWOT


analysis, programs, activities, and values of Bulanon Farm
School.

ENABLING OBJECTIVES:
Specifically, at the end of the training-workshop the participants
are expected to:
1. Identify goals, strategies, strength, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats of farm entrepreneurship and
management.
2. Appreciate deeply the scope, nature, purpose, elements of
strategic plan for an effective and efficient farm school
management.
3. Proposed programs and activities that will contribute to the
attainment of the goals, maximize strengths, leverage on
opportunities, address weaknesses and minimize threats

End of Activity Outputs A. A Job Embedded Learning Component:


100% of the participants is expected to demonstrate the
following:
a. Understanding of the goals, strategies, strength,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats of farm entrepreneurship
and management;
b. Enriched Knowledge in crafting programs and activities
for farm school;
c. Improved teachers’ competence and performance in
planning, engagement, and initiative preparation as to farm
school implementation.

Expected Final 1. Apply the knowledge, skills and attitude learned from the
Outcomes/Success training-workshop.
Indicators: 2. Crafted a 3- year strategic plan
