Key Things I Learned:

1.NSTP Law
ROTC strives to increase civic awareness and defense readiness among students by
offering military teaching and training. In addition, to train college students to become
reservists and possible commissioned officers of the Philippine Armed Forces in the
event of an emergency, as well as prepare them for duty in the Philippine Armed Forces
in the event of an emergency.
2. Components of NSTP
> ROTC - The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), which provides military training
to students in order to prepare them for national defense.
> CWTS - The Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), which will involve students in
activities that contribute to general welfare and the betterment of life.
> LTS – The Literacy Training Service, which is designed to train students to become
teachers.
3, Implementing and monitoring agencies of NSTP
The CHED and TESDA regional offices are responsible for overseeing and monitoring
the execution of the NSTP under their authority to ensure that the trainings are carried
out in accordance with the goals of this Act. In this regard, periodic reports must be
provided to the CHED, TESDA, and DND.
4. NU-Core values
1.What have I learned from Volunteerism Act of 2007: is is that simply helping
others may be extremely beneficial to them. Sometimes assisting others can encourage
them to be like you. I've also learned how varied people's lives can be.
2. What are the barriers that prevent me from volunteering? Why?
My time is the main barrier to volunteering. As a student who struggles with time
management, time is valuable to me. Maybe eventually, once I've learned how to
manage my own time, I'll be able to volunteer or assist in any manner that is feasible.
3. As a Nationalian how will I practice my sense of Patriotism.
As a Nationalian, I will demonstrate my patriotism by participating in patriotic events or
activities. Supporting local brands in our nation would also be a good practice, not only for me
but for others.
