ADMINISTRATION

III. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course shall enable MPA students to view the fundamentals of Public
Administration and Bureaucracy including their scope, characteristics,
importance, peculiarities, and theoretical concepts in terms of classical and
modern approaches.

Moreover, it shall cover critical assessment of national and local governance


with emphasis on structure, specialization, ethics and accountabilities.

The course shall likewise provide MPA students an opportunity to objectively


analyze the situations, status, issues, practices, and concerns of the current
Philippine public administration purposely to contribute to the future
development of public institutions more particularly in terms of good
governance.
