Salvador, Jessa Van Caira A.

Failure should be viewed as a ladder that climbs higher rather than a serpent that drags

is back to the beginning. I remember playing basketball with my friends and siblings

back then. We are up against each other. We started to score some points then

suddenly my brother became irritated and began to yell. We immediately encouraged

him to calm down, but he quickly gave up and leave us behind. We hurry and follow him

and encourage him that failure is acceptable, we just need to keep trying.

Over the years, I’ve put a lot of effort into changing the way I view failure and learning

from it. Many individuals, including myself are afraid to fail. We see failure as the result

of our efforts or as one of our distinguishing traits. It won’t help us overcome our

concerns if we remained lazy and kept staying in our own comfort zone. We need to be

pushed to the limit as people. Furthermore, everyone who has ever achieved success in

their lives has had to overcome several failures along the road. You are aiming

accurately if you are missing. You need a goal if you want to succeed. Without a

purpose, you are just existing, you are neither achieving nor failing. Nevertheless, even

if you do have a specific objective and aren’t making any errors, you might not be trying

to reach your maximum potential. To achieve, you must strive for greater heights while

acknowledging the possibility of failure. It does not imply to strive for the impossibly

high, rather it means to set high standards that will challenge you. If you want to know if

your goals are set at that slightly higher standard, use failure as your checker or scale.

Bigger failures are those that are greater. Failure to succeed has no meaning. Only

when you give up is it a complete failure. I haven’t failed if I keep trying. You grow closer
to achieving your objective and succeeding with each subsequent attempt. Failure

occurs when you give up. Always keep in mind that you always have another

opportunity after failing.
