WEEK1: In the first week of internship, A general discussion was done with the
advocates at the firm, and I was briefed with working of the organization. Later on
I was deployed with some research work on how to draft a legal notice. I was made
to understand that the basis of giving directions to any party case. I was asked to
visit the courtrooms to observe the proceedings and make notes of it.

WEEK2: I was made to understand that how we file petitions in the courts and how
to take follow ups. I was directed to interact with the advocates at the court to gain
as much knowledge as I can. I used to visit courts regularly. I was asked to draw
summary of the cases that I observe and at the end of the day report it to Sir. I
drafted a legal notice to Reliance telecom and was asked to keep tracking for its
reply. Simultaneously I was asked to take dates in the matters listed before the
courts. I visited the consumer courts and observed the proceedings there. I was
asked to prepare the arbitration application for the appointment of arbitrator in the
matter.

WEEK3: I observed that a ticket is to be stamped on the application and it acted as


the court fee. Such ticket was dated with pen with date on which it is applied. I was
asked to prepare an application for putting up the case file. The application when
printed was stamped and signed was taken to the court. I was also taught the
process to apply the copy of a case file and how the cost is to be calculated. I
learned how the practical aspects of the court proceedings starting from filing of
case to the execution of order/decree differs from the theoretical aspects. I was
asked to observe the court proceedings. After hearing the proceedings, I observed
that court proceedings were covering many cases on daily basis, and the matters of
many cases were disposed immediately. Throughout watching the cases progress I
realized how fast court processes are, as the magistrate opened the trial and
immediately heard from both prosecutor and defendant. I observed that the
magistrate generally maintained eye contact with whomever was presenting their
argument centred all his attention on them.

WEEK4: I was asked to thoroughly go through the GST laws and make a summary
of the same. I was asked to visit the family court and handle the client during the
divorce procedure. I visited the Police Station to understand the processes involved
there at the grassroot level to have a better understanding. At the end of the
internship I was asked to prepare a ppt presentation of what all my learnings were
during the course of this internship and present it before the office on the last day
of my internship.
