Bridging

What background We have been learning about key vocabulary words that relate to housing:

Have played several games to make sure that students know the meaning of
these words. So far, we played matamosca, caramba, and pictionary. Students
made their own flashcards. On one side, students wrote the words in English.
On the other side, students drew pictures that depict the words. Since I have

students who speak different native languages, I decided to use pictures as our
common language.
